I'm going to be sick.
I'm sure we had a 90something% win probability at that 4th down.
I'm sick.

All time meltdown. Had a 98.5% chance to win when they went up
30-10. Outside looking in on the playoffs now. Monmouth coming
off a win against Nova

Hold on to the damn ball! I already watched that Yankees World
Series game earlier this month.
How do you fumble the handoff on the first play that you're
brought in on? I know he's been on the bench for a few games
ever since Knopp took over, but, come on!
We were already in UNH territory on that drive, just get even a
field goal on that drive and this doesn't happen. And how was
there no flag for that helmet to helmet hit on Knopp?
Knopp did not look like himself on the drive when he came back
on, hope it's nothing serious.

Not quite. Richmond is 7-0, Delaware and Rhode Island are 6-1,
SB, Villanova and UNH are 5-2.
With Delaware out of postseason, that means there will be a mad
rush to nail down the top 4 spots. Richmond has only faced
Delaware among the top teams so they'll be going to secondary
and tertiary tiebreakers should they lose to William and Mary
(unlikely) and Rhode Island beats Bryant (highly likely).
So that leaves two spots (assuming the CAA sends four again) for
the three 5-2 teams. There are another three teams with 4-3
records.
Just win next week, baby. And let the chips fall where they may.
No matter what, a highly successful turnaround this season.

I saw on X that CAA’s Craig Halley is projecting that SBU will
get in the Tournament and meet Rhode Island in the 1st Round at
LaValle Stadium with the winner going on the road and having to
play South Dakota State.

Well, we actually covered the spread (+7 at start, +5.5 at game
time) if that counts for something! The betting metrics have
never liked us this year, we were only -2 vs Albany at home
too... guess they thought we were a bit of an empty mirage type
of 8-2 team.
I don't think the committee leaves out a 9-2 (vs. FCS) CAA team.
8-3 is way more bubble, especially bc our defining win over W&M
isn't even ranked anymore. It really sucks to lose our hopes of
the CAA title on that. It would have been way less stressful to
effectively lock our spot this week.
Because I'm a masochist, I skimmed through the 4th quarter again
this morning. The fumbles suck so hard but we had chances to
stop them. We should have put a spy LB on the UNH QB during 4th
and 6. We also had 4th and 11 on the next drive but got called
for DPI in the end zone, if the CB plays that route properly we
would have gotten the ball back up 30-17 still. So it's not just
the fumbles, as much as those hurt, and I don't want to dig into
our 3-star true freshman recruit too hard even if executing a
simple handoff on the one play you're brought in to do just that
was devastating. Our defense was obviously gassed after having
to play pretty much the entire fourth quarter.

I was following on my phone saturday and thought for sure we had
this. Still want to go back and watch.
If they beat Monmouth, they should still have a strong case for
a playoff spot imo

Maybe he they subbed in on defense, other than the d-line, they
wouldn't be so gassed. And perhaps when you're up 20 pts in the
4th quarter, you can not hurry to the line on offense and use
more of the play clock. The only position that subs on defense
is the line. Never at LB, and never at CB, and never at Safety.
Bring 75 kids, play 40....leaved another 30 home. It makes
sense. SB brings 3 punters, 2 kickers and 2 long
snappers....does that make any sense?
