2024 Season: Game 9 - @ Bryant - 1 PM EDT

I still don't get why Bryant was added to CAA Football, they've
been terrible. 2-6 (0-4), and almost lost to a D2 school.
Their CAA losses have all been by about 20 points, except for
Albany which only beat them by a TD. Should be an easy win, no
letdown game please.

I admit I was wrong as it never occurred to me Coach Cosh could
upgrade the roster, build a good staff, recruit some nice frosh,
coach-up the returnees, and quickly turn the program around. In
just a few months.
FCS coach of the year?
They really can beat anyone at this point. The players know it
and the staff knows it.
Go SeaWolves!!

Bryant's operations are almost as bad as their football team. No
live stats? The worst wide panning camera angle? Get outta here!

Well... at least we got the W?
Hope this doesn't affect the polls too much, but that was ugly.
Bryant is a team we should have beat by 20+ points considering
what the rest of the CAA has done to them. I turned it off when
we were up 24-10 because the production was so bad and I thought
we had an easy W.
Looking at the box score now, immediately after we gave up a
75-yd TD run. Then, we get a 46-yd pass to Freeman but it's
nullified because of an "ineligible man downfield" (my least
favorite penalty in the game, those never actually affect the
play!) And it kills, because then Knoop fumbles on a sack and
Bryant scores on the next possession to make it a 24-24 tie.
Then, next drive, we had 2nd and 3 at the Bryant 16, but 2
negative plays led to 4th and 15 and a missed 46-yd FG.
Then, we get the ball back with 5:16 left and just do short
gains without actually moving down the field too much, only
making it to our 40-yd line with 18 seconds left.
In OT, Dempster scored and then we immediately gave up a Bryant
TD, and thank god we stuffed them on the 2-point try.
I wasn't happy with our coverage today from what I saw, lots of
chunk plays given up on long down situations. Heard on the
broadcast that AJ Roberts suffered an injury and I hope it's not
too serious - it would explain the subpar defensive performance
today, because he's a stud LB.

pulled out the W. dont like how it happened- in fact, feel
terrible for bryant going for 2 and missing it. what a way to
lose at home. i guess that's how their season is going, when
you make that kinda call.
didnt get much help today but we are in 4th place now:

Trap game. They happen. I'm glad that we made it out. The home
team has a massive advantage in college football, and this was
their friends/family weekend so people actually showed up.
Overall, I'm impressed that our only away loss this season was
to Marshall. Means that Cosh has largely put together a
disciplined team. That was my biggest cripe with Priore.
Not all ranked teams made it out this week. We'll move up in the
polls a bit.
Albany next. Better be ready for them. They fight like hell,
even during down years.
