gave up a tying goal with 28 seconds left, after a brilliant
defensive stand. lost in OT to SHU 7-6.
offense had some trouble with SHU's goalie, pazienza, and also
not great shot placement, threw away passes, etc. many shot
clock violations today, probably an unacceptable amount.
in other news, the defense is capable of shutting down teams for
very, very long stretches- unusually long stretches. this is a
complete 180' from the past ~20 years where we could expect a
18-16 contest, against most teams we play. SHU didnt score for
about 19 minutes. we somewhat did this to UNC and RU too. and
it's not as simple as controlling faceoffs, as we are in the
basic 50% range for the most part- maybe even less.
statwise- 6 goals on 46 shots isnt great. worse is 20 SOG.
other games- with delaware losing 10-2 against penn, and st.
joes blowing out towson 11-6, your best remaining game might be
unranked fairfield. a bad day for the coastal.
PS johnny wincott and greg taylor at the play call- great
combination!

getting worked by iona- a brand new program. 4-2 deficit at
halftime, at home.
10man ride is again killing us, UNC did it too.
also, like the SHU loss, terrible shot placement- selection is
ok. young offense out there.

6-5 lead halftime. game feed is unwatchable, on my levels.
cmon manhattan.
is anyone going to cover marino? it's his first real minutes
and he's 4g on 4 shots.
bonacci has 4a, which is great because i think of him more as a
shooter/finisher.
freshman shea hogan makes an appearance too, winning a faceoff.
SOG% much better today, 14/18 (78%).

12-7 win, another defensive success. hosting bingo next
saturday.

lost to winless bingo at home, 12-10.

but is worse than that- we got worked, effortwise, physically,
mentally, etc. we shoulve lost by 5 but an illegal stick
resulted in a 3 minute unreleasble that we used to our
advantage.
we cant shoot well nor finish. faceoffs terrible. went down
4-0 very early. SOG% continues to be abysmal (19/40). lost GBs
by ten.
hofstra next friday.

This may seem a bit harsh, but a home loss to winless Bingo is
just unacceptable. What is going on with the program?
Coaching? Mental prep?

We haven't lost to Bingo in lax since 2017. That is BAD. We
usually blow them out, in fact, and dominate the all-time
series.
I wonder how long of a leash Anthony Gilardi has. He's in season
6, we're 35-30 under him and haven't made an NCAA Tournament
yet, and we couldn't with a generational talent like Dylan
Palonetti on our team.
