Team won’t be ranked much longer. It’s all about the conference
auto-bid now cuz I don’t see any case for an at-large given the
strength of schedule. Notably, haven’t seen any quotes from
Coach Spallina after these two losses. That’s disappointing.

yeah we've all go so used to beating anything that isnt a top 5
team. the hop loss was forgivable, this one is too only because
we havent lost a game like this in the spallina era (14
seasons?).
in any event- doesnt this really mean we'll see the same story
again- likely win the coastal, get a terrible seed, win a game
or two, and have a respectable but early exit?

I assume this means that Spallina is either gone now or at the
end of the season?

depends; those jobs are mostly done around the NCAA jobs. this
happens all the time on the men's side too. in fact spallina
was GM of the men's MLL team for a while.
but whether he leaves after this year regardless of this new
role- sure, it could happen. it's been a while now, since 2012
i think.

Alyssa's Top 25: Who Are You Now? Who Are You in May?
17. Stony Brook (4-2)
Senior Avery Hines continues as a player who is seemingly in a
long line of Seawolves who improve over their career and become
defensive forces as upperclassmen. Stony Brook is 4-2 with
Denver and Colorado looming. They have one-goal losses to Johns
Hopkins and Rutgers, but in a testament to the standard that Joe
Spallina has built, they seem to have been evaluated not by
their four wins, but by how easily they won them.
