keep on eye on this. roster limits could be coming- for all
sports- forcing coaches to start shrinking #s. some are
doubtful as there may be legal challenges, but nonetheless,
that's the story. it's also a bit unclear on roster vs dressing
vs scholarships, etc.

i could be wrong but i dont think sb is getting any revenue from
the caa and no one seems to care about that or ask about that. i
dont think they will get any share money from the caa for years.

Long time lurker on this forum, has there been any talk or
statements given about Stony Brook / CAA stance on revenue
sharing regarding this case? I'm of the opinion if adopted
Olympic sports on campus would cease to exist, particularly a
team that has had lots of success as of recent. Was reading the
EADA report for the University and saw that the institution
supported athletics by providing $151k in deficit funding for
reporting year 2022-2023. If these new rules are adopted at the
FCS level, I find it very hard to believe that football programs
across the country wouldn't increase their scholarship count and
cut other men's sports to avoid title IX balancing, especially
at a university that is bleeding $$$ and looking to find funds
to support revenue generating sports. Trying to get as informed
on this as possible, this has the potential to change college
athletics as we know it. Hoping higher ups make the right
decision if it comes down to it.
