In yesterdays Newsday they had a preview of SBU and Anthony
Johnson was included as a key returnee for the 2024 season
Let’s have some fun with 2024 season about to begin how many
games will SBU win and I think it will be 6 or 7. Also I think
they will be competitive in every game

Newsday is behind with everything. Trust me, AJ is no longer on
the Stony Brook roster. That is a massive loss. I don't know
what happened or where he went, but he is no longer on the
football team.

CAA Football teleconference...Coach Cosh was asked about Anthony
Johnson and he said he is no longer with the team!!!

That's. Not great!
Did he have some personal disagreement with Cosh? Something
happened this month. I haven't seen him enter the transfer
portal. My bet has something to do with him wanting to play for
a better FBS team, but then you think that would come out by
now.

Listened to the CAA interview clip. He doesn't mention Anthony
Johnson at all unless I missed it?
They did finally take him off the Stony Brook roster/website
today. Devastating loss without any explanation for what
happened. Was this a young coach discipling one of his best
players? I can't imagine this scenario unless he's in any sort
of legal trouble? How is he going to find a new team this late
in the season? Is he taking an off year to maintain some
eligibility? This is not going to fly, a new coach losing one of
his best players only a few days before the season starts! we
need more information!!
Cosh also still didn't name a starting QB and our first game is
a few days away. Is this going to be a committee approach? He
seems to love the freshman from South Carolina- maybe start the
future now?
So far very concerning developments. Let's see how it all plays
out.

The guy doing the interview asked him about Anthony Johnson and
he said, he's no longer with the team/

One of the things Cosh said was he brought in two players that
he previously coached and they are both very good and there are
at least a few others so I’m not as worried with not having
Johnson at this time. Let’s see how the passing game does on
Saturday without him and we can dissect Cosh’s game plan next
week.

On another matter I believe he will play all three QB’s through
the first few games and then pick one based on their performance

It would have been nice if Cosh named a starter and gave him a
few games to develop ... not naming starting QBs and rotating
them is reminiscent of Coach P.
