My HS Football Showcase’s on LI are Saturday May 18 and Coach
Cosh has committed to being there and we expect 375 Players and
he’s already offered 6 LI players for the Class of 2025

I think reality is setting in on what we will see for 2024. More
losing just with a different coach. these other schools are
paying kids and sb has a nil for lacrosse and basketball. they
should have nil for basketball because of the bigger payday for
going to the tournament but football doesnt have anything to
talk about with nil. high school kids from the area will be
playing the best of the rest of the conference with a couple
transfers who may be able to help a little if they are healthy.

They just picked up the WR from Richmond that lead the CAA in
receptions before tearing his ACL last year
I'm more optimistic but it will really depend on QB play. The
biggest surprise seems to be that Cosh will roll with Casey Case
again this year, if I am not mistaken?

I know that Priore's philosophy was never to start freshmen
(especially at QB). But other teams have been very successful
at it. So, I'm not so sure that Case is a lock. From my info,
SBU has the following committed QBs not yet on the roster:
-- Quinn Boyd (Fr): 1st team all league and Offensive POY
-- Tyler Drake-Knoop (Gr Transfer): 64% completion history; 24
TDs & 2837 yds.
-- Malachi Marshall (Fr): 3* prospect and high school state
champ

I don’t have the numbers but the question I would like to ask is
how much NIL money is given to the other CAA Football Programs.
In my opinion Coach Cosh has this program moving in the right
direction and I will wait until the end of the 2024 season
before I say anything negative about him and his staff.
Also I want to repeat that on Saturday May 18 I’m part of the
Nassau and Suffolk County HS Football Associations Showcases and
Coach Cosh will be in attendance and the LI HS Coaches are very
happy that he’s going to show up which is more than Coach ever
did.

I think there were other people who should been looked at but we
have to give him a chance even though he has never been a
headcoach.

The Preseason CAA Coaches Poll is and SBU has been picked to
finish in 16th place which was to be expected. I believe they
will finish a lot higher but time will tell.
I was talking to the coaches recently and the QB job is wide
open between 3 players Case, the Georgetown kid and the freshman
