I just called the Compliance Office a Grey Shirt is someone who
already committed to the school however they haven’t enrolled in
the school.

the roster they handed out last night said otherwise as they
were rostered with their assigned numbers and in pads/full
uniform. I also talked to the kids on the field during the 4th
quarter skills challenge, where fans, families, kids, etc… were
aloud on the field to participate in different skills challenges
(btw it’s confirmed I’m no good at kicking field goals) and they
are in classes (15 credits each) etc… one semester down for
them. SBU is following the FBS way of getting early enrollment
for select current class kids (this was the case for Alex
Menghi). Wyatt Cooper was the only grey shirt from the class of
23. All confirmed by the kids and their position coach last
night. Now wether they red shirt this coming fall season is a
whole other question and still unknown. On a football note, I
love their LB AJ Robert’s PITT transfer. I believe he is gonna
be special.

I went to the Spring Game last night and I thought it was a lot
of fun.
In the past it was very boring but Coach Cosh made it very
entertaining so there was something for everyone

I don’t think Cooper and Menghi are Grey Shirts because if they
were they wouldn’t be in pads on the sidelines and enrolled in
school.

On a football note, I love their LB AJ Robert’s PITT transfer. I
believe he is gonna be special.....He will be real good,
especially after missing all of last year. The depth at LB is
impressive with Roberts, Ferrelli, Denicola, Novella,
Chalmers...I believe the defense will be much improved.

I agree with you because even though it was just a scrimmage in
reality the LB’s were swarming all game

Cosh has given this program an injection of energy. Priore had
no idea how to connect with the community so this is a breath of
fresh air. Very excited for the season

Really like the linebackers and overall, I expect the defense to
be much improved. The big question mark is the offensive line,
which I think you called out previously. Kind of disappointed we
haven't brought in any transfers there

yes, the o-line is a question mark, but returns 3 starters and
two players (Tunc and Papic) who basically missed all of last
year and/or played hurt. And maybe some will come from the
portal. Tomorrow is the last day (4-30) and maybe Cosh wanted to
see what he had during the spring before rushing anything. Guess
we will know soon enough.
