Holy Cross’ QB Matt Sluka is a local guy and is unclaimed in the
portal. We found success with Georgetown’s QB and Sluka
similarly has one year of eligibility remaining. (I know he
didn’t look great leaving UNLV but he was a winner there too.)
Crazy idea?

It wouldn't surprise me if someone at UNLV made a cash promise
to Sluka, and the school didn't deliver. I can't imagine him
going to SB even if he has no FBS offers tho.

Don’t put all the blame on UNLV Sluka bares responsibility as
well and might find it hard to get another FBS School to offer
him. I believe SBU will try and get a QB from the Portal with
more than one year of eligibility

Last time Sluka was in the portal he lingered for a long while
and then he had to settle for an opportunity to compete for a
starter position (at UNLV) as there were arm concerns. His
performance at UNLV (albeit 3-0) didn't put those concerns to
rest. This year he has to overcome all that plus concerns he
quit on his team over money (unwritten promise or not).
I agree an FBS scholarship offer (forget NIL cash) for QB1 may
not be forthcoming for Sluka.
I was thinking local guy (Kellenberg) who absolutely tore it up
v very good FCS (and limited FBS) competition at Holy Cross.
And we need a QB. But it is farfetched and he might have crossed
FCS off his list long ago.
