Boy. Who's our starting five?
Octave and Luster feel very likely, probably Snoddy too, and
after that, I could be convinced on three or four others. And
our roster isn't even full.
That TO got such little time last year suggests to me he's not
ready to be a 28+ minute primary ballhandler. Octave and Luster
ought to play big minutes – starting and finishing games – but
are they running the show? Finding other guys? I don't sense
that either. But also, Clarke got downhill and probed, etc., but
he wasn't really a distibutor?
Are we still looking PG or do we have enough? Probably have
enough. I feel like we have to get on the glass.
For our five, at this point, thinking we start small like last
year with Octave, Luster, one of Philip/Frey/Woodard/TO, Snoddy
and a big that isn't here yet. Or maybe it's Wight.

Have we completely given up on Nahar? I've always felt he had a
terrific shot, and if he could only bulk up a little...well?
I definitely agree we've got enough guards. Wight could be
good under the basket and as a rim protector. But, I'd like to
see a real good PF to pair up with Snoddy. With the way Geno
has been recruiting, I'm betting he finds another gem!!

This team on paper already seems more talented than last year
TBH

all good news, good job Geno & co. to backfill.
we all knew this was coming- the annual working on socials hard
to sign 1 year free agent contracts. i hate what it's done to
the sport (and coaching) but kids gotta get paid.
could always use another point- given how well they played in
our 4 day stretch, hitting clutch shots, beating all the FCP we
see in the Coastal, etc. But i think we are in trouble if we
dont put some presence in the paint.
look at it this way- this past season (to me, at least) was
really the first good one since the warney/mcgrew years. note-
we had fitz and maidoh (and even snoddy) continually on the
floor- sometimes multiple. why not do that again.

Good couple pulls from the portal. Lets see if the ball actually
moves lot of juco guys hope it translates. I also won’t allow a
good tourney week stretch to totally flip my opinion of Geno. We
were extremely old last year but i’ll be cautiously optimistic
for next year. Mainly because every other CAA team also imploded
especially Charleston which probably would have 3 peated.

By my count (correct me if I'm wrong) there are two open
schollys left. But, I haven't seen much action recently on the
recruiting front. The offers that are out have been there for a
long time, and I'm not sure if any of them are still viable.
I'm hoping for a PF or SF to team up with Snoddy. Any thoughts?

In addition to the roster openings, we have an empty seat on the
bench as Jalen Avery has taken an assistant coaching gig at his
alma mater, Kent State.
I wonder if McKenzie steps into a coaching position after a year
or two as the ops guy. It wouldn't be a very diverse staff
however.

I didn't realize that Alex Sobel had a year left. Now that he's
in the portal, is Stony Brook now (gasp) beneath him?
Awesome year at Sacred Heart. I was out on him at this point
last year, but wholeheartedly apologize and beg for forgiveness.
