Fitz leaving is odd to me yeah sure make money but is he that
valuable? Only 1 year left doesn’t rebound idk he might return.
Charleston has a billionaire funding its collective and the city
businesses contribute we can have all the deep pockets alum we
want but they dont give a rip about our program. Fitz leaving I
don’t view the same as Policelli at least he gave us 4 years.
Fitz could be the focal point of a depleted team I think he’ll
he in for a rude awakening on his value.

Why is it odd? he gets one more year to play. He will test the
nil waters and probably pick up something worth three or four
times what sb nil could get together for him. it is a no brainer
for him if he can get more money. when you have yahoos running
your nil you wont see good results. there should be two nils at
sb. one for basketball where the postseason money is & then one
for football. their fundraising group now struggles to raise
money did you see the sad donation totals on giving day? they
should get serious about raising money with nil but your typical
donor will not want to step up what they give to seawolves
united to pay players every year so it needs to be a better way
and not include lacrosse because there is no money in that
sport.

Fitz liked coming off the bench.

I don't know if it's necessarily the NIL side. Fitz was the
third leading scorer on the team.. but came off the bench? I
can't imagine that this transfer isn't a Ford bungle in some
shape or form.

i think its 95 percent to test the nil waters. geno will take
him back if he doesnt get a bigger offer. geno isnt known for
having players love him. He needs a nil just for basketball and
its crazy that they dont have that. transferring players that
arent loyal are going to go where the bigger check is.

Hate to break it to you, but nobody actually likes coming off
the bench.

I don't think it really mattered much. He ended playing about
the same number of minutes as last year and it was good to have
him as an offensive spark plug to put in when one of the
starters needed rest/foul trouble.

I think that's fair. I can see him returning if things don't pan
out, if it's a NIL situation.. SB is dropping the ball on all
things NIL and you're exactly right- they'll keep losing players
so long as that's the case. Incompetence and this athletic
department go hand in hand apparently.

How are we gonna get people to give NIL when people don’t even
go to games we need to nab 1-3 big money donors do they even
exist?

@FactoryKitten with good info again on the expected Fitz
departure, and @Checkmate with correct call that we’re the JV
team. SH’s big proclamations when he came over from Oregon was
raising $$ and creating an elite football team. He’s really
failed on both. Cash raise has been poor and teams are bleeding
players and coaches (Women’s bball coach just bolted for
Tulane). As long as this persists, we’re going to be fielding
new teams every year, unless the team/players are terrible.
Snoody probably next.
