Don't have a full understanding of how it works but I believe
TSM, Clarke, Noll and Maidoh were all NIL guys so theoretically
that opens a good amount of NIL money for Geno to use in the
portal. Assume Fitz will get a TSM level deal to stay.
He's already done 6 college years, including a redshirt and
graduate season. I'm pretty sure his graduate season was also
his COVID season. If not, do you want a seventh-year senior?
It's crazy ... he transferred in after four years at Stanford,
and if he stays (think he will) and he's healthy, he definitely
tops 1,000 points for his career at Stony Brook. 1,000 points
after earning your degree!

2018-19: redshirt
2019-20: 12 games
2020-21: 5 games (injury redshirt)
2021-22: missed entire season (redshirt)
2022-23: 33 games
2023-24: 35 games
Even when we got him as a graduate transfer from Stanford, he
had only played 32 minutes on the court. He was at Stanford as a
student for 4 years but only played in 2 of them, and one of
those was an early season-ending injury. This year was only his
3rd "full" season.

Per his Twitter, stony brook has offered 6’4 guard Collin
OConnor. Looks like his high school won National prep title.
@CollinOco_ Is his handle on Twitter (X)

Not sure where to put this, but from a reliable source I was
told that this year’s grad transfers received $20k this year in
NIL $. Not sure if the above amount applied to TSM or not.

2024 6’7 Nick Woodard has committed to Stony Brook.
So we have Nick Woodard commitment and we have a strong offer to
Collin OConnor
Juco transfer and a freshman. Leads me to believe some guys will
be leaving because Geno doesn’t have time to do a rebuild
season. It’s go time, and I fully expect us to bring in some
seniors/grad seniors to compete

No CBI for us, so it's officially the offseason.
Just one CAA team still playing.

Based on his juco stats it looks like he would fill the Anthony
Roberts role. Can really score and rebound, maybe not super
efficient from the field. Hope with that length he's a good
defender as well.

Woodard was recently ranked as the 39th best JUCO prospect in
the country. A couple years ago, before the NCAA allowed
transfers to play immediately, that would be really impressive.
Not sure how the new transfer rules have affected JUCO talent
though

FWIW some twitter people are speculating Drissa Traore from St.
John's might end up at Stony Brook

I think he'd be very good for us.
