Man. Not finishing in regulation killed us. We had our shot.
Congrats to Charleston.

Really proud of the Seawolves- this was a much better season
than I expected. Clarke/Noll/Maidoh/Fitz really made this CAA
tourney a memorable one. Most importantly TSM will be missed but
he’ll be a SBU legend.
Geno has to get to work because next year could be ugly. I will
say it’s clear the quality of hoops in the CAA is 10x what we
had in the America East.

Helluva an effort, but we need to get a shot off there at end of
regulation. That was the difference. Woulda, shoulda, but would
have put ball in TSM’s hands there. Possessions in OT were poor.
Hats off to the team for a great run on the national stage.

Oh man. So proud of this team. Didn't deserve to go down like
this. I feel like this team earned it more than the Warney team
even, and I was there for that game. Much harder gauntlet they
had to go through in the CAA tournament versus America East that
year. This team never quit. The clock just ran out on them.

After TSM is done playing professionally (G league / Europe), I
would aim to bring him to SBu on the coaching staff. Warney too.
These guys are the epitome of what you want the University and
program to represent. Hats off to TSM and the seniors for giving
us a great finish to the season.

Really wish Clarke didn't iso those final plays at the end of
regulation. We had to put the ball in TSM's hands.
This one hurts because we had the final possession in
regulation. I knew going to OT would not favor us. Try to get
TSM open, pound it to Fitz inside and hope for a foul on the way
up there. It felt like Clarke wanted to recreate the Drexel shot
but he wasn't as hot as he was that game. Imagining a world
where we won it at the buzzer and got to shock Charleston stings
really bad.

I didn’t even expect anything of note this season, so to be in
the title game with a chance to win in regulation…. Really can’t
ask for more. Proud of these guys. Sometimes it just doesn’t go
your way. Great game all in all. The energy for a half empty
arena was wild. Could have fooled me.
GO SB!!

What I hate most is, at this level, not making it to the dance
means the season will be forgotten by the general public (not
us). No big news story, no banner. A shot or 2 makes the
difference between making history and it just being another
season that is largely forgotten by most.
Any chance they get an NIT or other invite based on how they
finished the season?
