We made quarters last year semis this year thats 1 game
       improvement no?

Yeah, you're right, I stand corrected. For some reason I
thought that we played AT&T in that preliminary first round last
       year:

oh i thought you were saying something different! that we won
the play-in, so that's sort of 2 wins. sort of. depends on how
       you look at it.

I attended SBU for undergrad and Hofstra from Grad.
But screw the pride! GO SEAWOLVES!
Third time is the charm? I hope so

No, my bad. I forget that Campbell wasn't in the CAA last year,
so there was only 1 play-in (first round) game, and we avoided
that. You and @Knicksbu99 are correct; just a 1-game improvement
       (so far!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).

Pretty sad that we didn't have a fan bus down there, though I
guess no one expected us to make it this far. It would have been
cool for the university to have coordinated 3 nights in DC for
this. After the win last night I checked out of curiosity and
the cheapest ticket to the game itself was $50, including fees,
which stinks because CAA's website said $15.

Driving down to DC for tonight's game. Tickets were pricey but
should be a good one. Hoping our guards have something left in
the tank after a ton of minutes played this weekend.

They've already won 2. Might as well just win the next 2 and go
       dancing

You have to think our guys just want it more with the Tyler
Thomas game still fresh on their minds. The 2OT game wasn't
ideal but hey, Tyler got to rest for most of the 2nd half, and
Hofstra's also playing a back to back (does us playing a back to
back to back really make that much a difference?).

I'm looking for Sabry to be a factor defensively today. We could
have some tired legs today, but I can't help but think that
he'll mark Thomas for extended periods and take a load off TSM.
I'd like to poll coaches and see how much they buy into the
tired legs theory. These are guys in their athletic prime who
are fighting to keep their careers going, guys who probably
played three or four AAU games on Saturday AND Sunday. And it's
not like they hopped on a plane to go to another city. Sure, I'd
rather they not have expended so much energy to get here, but
Towson worked a rested UNCW team in the second half, and we
eventually overcame a rested Drexel team in our game.
One litmus test I'll keep an eye on: whether we're settling for
threes early in the shot clock. That, to me, screams tired legs.
I do think we got fortunate. We hit some big shots, but Turner's
misses at the FT line were key. Okros didn't miss many this
year, but the miss in OT was huge. Philip should've been
ticketed with the charge but got bailed out. And TSM and Clarke
made massive defensive plays under the basket to keep Drexel
       from getting shots up late.
Clarke and Thomas, who played together going to back to 2019,
going head to head for Stony Brook and Hofstra for the right to
go to the CAA title game. I tell you ... I'd run the high pick
and roll and try to get Thomas to switch onto him. Not only do I
       think he's a subpar/disinterested defender, but I'd see if
Clarke can coax him into early foul trouble.
Imagine Stony Brook versus Policelli for a trip to the
tournament? I'd love to see it.
From the Hofstra board: Stony Brook winning "Would be like the
Mets beating the Yankees in the world series."
