Super ugly game fitting after Geno extended.

Live by the Noll hook, die by the Noll hook.
Shouldn't have been this hard, but a gritty defensive final 4
minutes by our guys.

Totally lackluster effort on offense most of the game, although
that late sequence getting a couple of O boards may have been
the decisive factor in the W. Very clutch free throw shooting
from Fitz, and a late prayer from Noll, aided by a couple of
late defensive stops, somehow got us the W. I really thought
Maidoh fouled the shooter on that last second 3. Had a near
coronary there.

We've got to stop taking the 2-on-1 layups off the fast break
and consider running offense off them instead. We're missing
opportunities from our steals.
We were trending that way early. TSM needs to see the ball more.

i noticed that. normally some communication would help; we
either have numbers, or don't. i'd rather control the clock.
yes to TSM- he has been heating up in the second half of a lot
of games lately. GO SB

Looking at the CAA scoreboard, all of these conference games are
close. Nice win and especially nice to win a close one.
Hopefully the team could get over .500 and into the upper half
of the standings.
Fitz had a rough night from the field but made some clutch FT's
and is getting better and better at finding the open guy on the
perimeter.

No such thing as a bad conference win. Geno's argument in the
presser was that Northeastern's length at guard made it
difficult for SBU to drive and kick like they like to. It's nice
to feel like we have a chance every night now. On another note,
Dean Noll is finally starting to look healthy. His 4 steals
tonight were huge, also 5 consecutive games in double figures.

There is if you’re barely beating mediocre teams in a middling
conference. It predicts how a team will do in OOC games.

Amazingly, even with all the games we've given away, we're still
just two games out for the top 4 double-bye with our easiest
stretch ahead yet. This is where the 2nd Hofstra game kills,
because they're one of the teams in 5th while we're in 7th now.
And since we've lost so many of those already, we can ill afford
a slip up in this stretch. Geno has to have the guys locked in
and not fall into a trap game.
I like that the Children's Hospital game has become a nice
tradition for us now. I think we're 4-1 in them, losing to
Hofstra last year.

We were at this game the other night it was fun to see the
building almost full. Its a nice thing they do with the
Childrens hospital.
