The 3-big lineup has been doing wonders defensively. I agree
with the announcers that the backcourt didn't feel like 10
seconds had gone by and there might have been a clock error, but
don't think that's reviewable.

Man that Clarke layup looked great and then White blocked it
late. It would have huge for momentum to just take the lead,
even briefly. That TSM three was a great play, though.

Kudos to TSM hitting those 2 FT’s under extreme pressure. If
White can’t go, advantage SBU!

WHAT A WIN!!!! This is our biggest W since the time we went up
to Burlington and took down Vermont at their place in 2019-20.

Huge win against a talented team. Never thought we’d recover
from that 19-2 run that started in the first half. This one
makes up for 1 or 2 of the games we blew that we should have
won. And to think the 3-ball, which wasn’t there most of the
game, propelled us to victory. TSM had fire in his eyes after
hitting those 2 huge FT’s at the end of regulation.

Awesome win. You just felt like we had more ways to score than
they did. I don't think I've ever seen a more reluctant shooter
in the middle of the 2-3. Fitz and Maidoh are such rocks back
there, and I think everybody feeds off Fitz' energy.
We're just a better offense when Clarke is out there creating
for himself and for others. Season-high four assists. Not John
Stockton numbers but we'll take it. Overall, I thought we had a
few great finds late in regulation and in overtime.
This would have been a disappointing loss, but now sitting at
4-4 in conference, with the schedule we have ahead of us, could
we ... go on a bit of a run?

And on the final possession in regulation I wanted a 3 to win
because I thought we couldn't compete with UNCW's offensive
rebounding in OT even with White hobbled and maybe out. This is
why I'm not a coach.
You absolutely have to give TSM props for those FTs at the end
of regulation in the highest pressure stakes. Then we scored on
every single possession in OT. 6-for-7, and on the only miss,
Maidoh got the O-board and made two huge FTs. That was huge for
momentum because it put UNCW down 5 with only 3:30 left. And
then great victory execution on the inbounds and beating the
press. The TSM 3-point play and then the Maidoh dunk off
Clarke's steal – just beautiful stuff. We'll be seeing it on our
highlight promo reels for years to come.
One of Geno's best coached games since he came here, once we
went to the 3-big lineup UNCW had no response, and it flipped
the script completely. I thought we were dead to rites after
UNCW's 19-2 run because KJ Jenkins was just hitting everything.
But then we kept him scoreless for the final 21(!!!) minutes of
the game.
The student section was great today, too. Loved the air ball
chants, I rarely hear that from our fans as opposed to the P6
road games we play. And then the camera panning to our kid doing
the shot-clock violation gesture after UNCW committed one was
hilarious.
We needed that one. We usually don't pull out these. That's the
type of game that can change early season misfortunes around. I
was as pessimistic as can be after how UNCW dominated the
opening minutes of the second half. But we did it, and on
national TV too. I still have grievances with the concept of
Flo, but the CBSSN home games make the tradeoff worth it. The
entire America East conference got one game on ESPNU for the
whole conference season! And this year we've already been on
CBSSN three times, including two home games.

There a million things I want to say, but more than anything I
want to say this was a step in right direction. Best win of the
year. Love to see that we can snoddy, Maidoh, and Fitz together.
Hopefully we can get a good crowd to travel to hempstead on
Thursday

Referring to another thread, was muratori on the sideline today?
Despite limited time in his first two years, I've been bullish
on his production in years 3,4,5.
