Wild scoring swings, but competitive, entertaining game.
Considering we’re getting crushed on the boards, nice to be only
down 1. Snoddy and Fitz have both been beasts. I like when all 3
bigs (incl Maidoh) are on the floor.

I don't know what Geno told them at halftime but the rebounding
has been MUCH better in the first 8 minutes of the second half.
It feels like Snoddy has a magnet for the ball.

Whew! Averted the total collapse! Gotta hit those 1-and-1’s, and
need to get the ball in the hands of your best ball handlers
late in the game. Good win against a quality opponent going into
conference. AClarke certainly growing on me.

A win's a win sure, but it doesn't inspire much confidence that
we keep giving up late runs like this. When you're up 16 with
seven minutes left, it shouldn't be this much of a sweat. Brown
got a few TOs but that wasn't the main issue this time.
Late-game free throw shooting has become anxiety-riddling. We
only made one basket in the final 7 minutes, a great Maidoh
drive. We weren't creating good looks at all in the most crucial
moment. It started with back-to-back 3s from Brown to make it
from 16 to 10, but even at that point you expect to get back in
the flow of things soon and stop that quickly. It didn't happen.

It was a squeaker win against a Quadrant IV team at home. Not a
good win against a quality opponent by any means.

IMO, Brown is much better than their record indicates,
particularly on the defensive end.

Brown was picked to finish fourth in a really solid mid-major
conference. Going in, any kind of win would have been considered
good in my opinion, but I sure would have liked to keep them at
arm's length. We were very fortunate to win that game.
Snoddy was excellent, and he, Maidoh and Fitz played excellent
defense underneath. I love it when guys stay disciplined enough
to stay on their feet, and when they do leave the floor, they go
straight up. It's so easy to go for the block and instead draw a
foul.
Also, I give TSM credit for his effort on the defensive end.
Lilly had to have run 10 miles in that game, and TSM fought
around so many screens to make it a tough night for him.
I'm not saying Snoddy shouldn't look for his shot, but it does
seem as though he's settled into a nice role with the team. We
have guys who can put it in the basket, and he's filling in so
many holes around them.
Noll played only 16 minutes, and was essentially relegated to
the bench from the nine-minute mark on. It's interesting that he
remained on the bench even as the game tightened up. The hook
shot was ridiculous.
If I have it right, the four turnovers match the lowest total
since we lost to Maryland, 76-69, in December 2012. We had four
that night too. I'm sure we've had fewer over the course of
history. It's a shame because they all came late and it could
have been a really impressive number.

we need to get use to these games against lesser opponents
because the rumor is geno has an extension already and like they
always do it is a quiet secret.

Geno getting extended would honestly shock me if we finish
around 7-9 he has a .500 or worse record. I think he is holding
the post season ban for the year we were preseason AE favorites
over helibrons head plus last years injury debacle. Brown is not
a good team we should beat them consistently. Now look at SUNY
buffalo they fired their middling coach and went into the tank
maybe Helibron is scared of that too is that a justifiable fear
to stay with mediocrity? I will say in Genos defense he runs
better stuff than just iso ball I think partly because he was
forced to do that last year. Lets go beat northeastern and shock
Charleston I expect a good crowd for that one.
