Yes, it was on SNY and it was dicey for 3 and a half quarters.
But GiGi and Keenan got hot and resulted in another tough
conference win on the road. They're now the only team to be
undefeated in the CAA, and continue to be fun to watch.

I watched it on SNY as a lead up to the NFC Wild Card. Will say
that refs in the women's game are so quick to call travels and
moving screens and it completely kills the flow of the game.
While we had 23 turnovers (yikes!) we actually scored more
points off turnovers (19-16) since Delaware had 15 of their own
and they didn't convert from their extra chances. We had 23
turnovers and still won by 12.
Keenan is basically the Frey of the women's team, 44% 3pt
shooter and 86% of her shots are threes, she was crucial in
putting us on top yesterday.
Thought Delaware did a good job limiting Clark, who has a top 6
FG% in the country. Really cool that both Clark and Gigi got
their 1000th point in the same game.

Two more things I think are worth noting:
-- Marla King finished with a double-double (she sometimes gets
lost among all the other great performers on this team). But,
she always seems to play a key role.
-- Janay Brantley (only a freshman) had a great stat line (8
pts, 3 reb, 4 ast, 2 blks) in 26 min. Coach seems to be calling
on her more and more as the season goes on. She should be a
stalwart for next season.

Khari Clark came up big again, and the women just keep on
rolling. Another double digit victory!

Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later--SBU WBB finally
lost a conference game. Many things led to the loss, like far
too many turnovers and numerous lapses on defense. But, I have
faith in the coach, and suspect that the team's transgressions
will be corrected sooner, rather than later. The primary
culprit, I have to admit, was Campbell's Cristobal Ezumah (28
points), who was downright unstoppable! Yet, the team did manage
to get into OT.
The good news is that the team remains the indisputable
conference leader! GO SEAWOLVES!

I certainly think this should be a great recruiting tool for

It wouldn't surprise me if she moves on to a better program at
the end of the year.

She recently received a multi-year contract extension. So, I'm
hoping she'll at least be here for awhile. After that, who
knows?
Coach really had the team fired up for yesterday's game with
Drexel (one of the better teams in the CAA), after that OT loss
to Campbell! The ladies pitched a shout out against them in the
1st quarter, and never looked back! Gigi and Khari are a force.

The extension just means that if she leaves, the next school has
to pay the remaining years for us.
14-0 first quarter yesterday, I've never seen that before. Khari
Clark had 14 points, 15 rebounds and 6 steals! The Campbell loss
was really bad, we had leads at 22-9 and 38-30 that we should
not have given up, especially to a team that's firmly in the
bottom rung of the conference. There are schools in the top rung
of the CAA where losing to them is slightly understandable but
Campbell wasn't one of them, especially since we bulldozed them
by 30 at our place. Now NC A&T is tied with us for first.

They just keep on rollin'! The ladies had a slow start, and
things didn't go that well in the 1st Qtr. But, as usual, Coach
got them to make the necessary adjustments, and it was
gangbusters from there. Keenan was on fire!
