Anthony Davis will be the offensive coordinator. Mentioned it
earlier, but he's coached with Cosh at both VMI and Western
Michigan.

I just want to know who (if any) has been retained on the SB
coaching staff and who was let go. Does anyone have any inside
info?

We were first told that all of the coaches were let go but get
paid to June but there is now talk of a couple of them being
kept maybe because he cant find anyone to bring? the assistant
coaches dont make a lot at sb and most had been on Long island
for a long time. this athletic dept is secretive so it will be
anyones guess but we havent seen any announcements and i dont
know that we would since they keep news quiet.

There are several young coaches that don’t make a lot of money
and as a result could be kept on so I agree with what you said

Just remembered that in January the NCAA has its Football
Convention and a lot of Coaches show up with their Resumes so
Cosh could fill some spots then

Yes thats the case with the meetings in January but the transfer
portal closes in a week or so tll the spring so i think its only
grad transfers right now because i think they can go to the
portal at any time. anyways we missed out on getting anyone good
and i heard cosh is home for the holidays without announcing any
new coaches and not signing any players. the ones he offered
that knew him from before went somewhere else.

Even with the players who decided to enter the transfer portal I
still think that SBU has talent on their roster and hopefully he
will do what Coach P didn’t do and that is to develop that
talent to get the most out of these players. Also there will
also be an opportunity to get players who transfer out after
Spring ball. Also there are many Class of 2024 Players who still
haven’t committed that are really good players

My understanding is the transfer portal window designates when
players are allowed to declare their intent to transfer, not a
contact period for coaches. The coaching staff likely has until
the end of the spring add/drop period to sign transfers for
spring ball. Most players in the transfer portal haven't made
their decisions yet and Cosh has only officially lost out on one
of his former players (though the one I would have liked the
most).
But also please correct me if I'm wrong. I haven't followed
recruiting much in recent years so am only catching up on some
of the changes since covid

No new players can go in to the portal from January 3 to April
14 and there can not be contact with coaches and recruits during
that window.
