heading to OT. we mismanaged the final 2 minutes with a small
lead. were up 4 on the road, we miss two threes and give up two
threes. fortunately, we caught up with some helpful
officiating.
not to mention we started this game 15-2. i also didnt love
sending army to the line with 30 sec left. or AC driving the
lane 1v2.

Ugh OT...
We should not be in this position at all. Up 7 with 3 minutes
left and the crucial turning point was an inbound turnover right
after a timeout that led to an Army three, which was a potential
5-point swing right there.

it's obvious what happened here- TSM willed us to victory,
nearly all by himself.
also, that we mismanaged the ending of regulation- i thought
geno managed the OT perfectly.
i like the way army moves the ball. if we did that, we'd have a
shot in the CAAs. army's got a lot of fight in them too.

It never comes easy with us, does it...
We managed to hang on this time, but both this and the Wagner
game were ones that I felt needed to decisively dominate in
order to feel good about CAA play. I know it's a road game but
by all metrics Army is one of the bottom 20 teams in the
country. It should not have been a struggle to close them out.
And we started off blazing hot against both Army and Wagner as
well.
Game ball to TSM. Have to love that no matter how hard the first
40 minutes were for him, he still had the confidence to shoot
and single-handedly win this one for us.
The end of regulation worked out well for us, but relying on
free throw luck was not what I would have done, especially when
you had a ~15-second difference between game and shot clock to
get a stop.

Nice win. We had a big stony brook crowd there. A lot of fun.
Wish Geno didn’t go two bigs for so long with their undersized
PF shooting really well from deep. When he went to 4 guards in
OT we pulled away. On to MSU.
