And their not coming here!! Let's be serious the only good thing
Stony Brook is good for is academics. Now I'm absolutely not
saying that's a bad thing of course. BUT if you come here for
the combination of athletics and academics.........dead end.
This school is an absolute dead end for athletes to come to.

Anybody who waits to see who will be the future HC of this team
is only wasting their years of eligibility to play college
football. This program is in far deeper than just a HC

I don’t want to rush anything but it’s going to be important to
hit the transfer portal- whatever coach they hire will have to
fill some big positions of need. The whole secondary will need
to be revamped- the pass defense was abysmal last year. The
Maine game was one of the worst defensive performances I have
seen.

That's what happens when you don't play anyone else. They kept a
two man rotation all season. Even with injuries they would talk
them into playing.

Those of us who predicted an exodus via the portal were
certainly on target (to be fair, that was an easy call given the
intersection of our sad program and general trends).
As far as picking up quality players via the portal, those sorts
of kids have the most options and we’re not looking very
attractive right now. The sooner we land a successful coach kids
want to play for the sooner we (slowly) turn that around.

The problem is that it's more than just a head coach problem
here. The entire staff needs to go. Of course a new HC can
hire/fire whoever they want, but the possibility of leftovers
staying around that are just completely useless to any football
program. Eg. HATCH

Hatch heilbron and emrich all have to go because they cant raise
money. you only have the budget money to work with for the most
part and that doesnt work at all. State employees collecting
checks. no incentive.

On the one hand, a large number of kids exiting a 0-10 team via
graduation and portal is not necessarily a terrible thing BUT
there are sure to be potential recruits looking elsewhere on top
of this. Soooooooo, we are talking a long rebuild before we go
.500 in the CAA. Years. And only if we land a great coach.

Indeed to be true. But only if SBU hires a real coach who can
recruit and develop young players, something Priore could never
do..
