I heard last night when I was at the Nassau County All County
Night that he either got an interview or was going to get one
Here is my thoughts on Dresser when he was at Maine he was a
good OC however when they fired the HC the new one wanted his
own OC and got rid of him after one season. Even though Chuck
turned the offense over to him and wasn’t wearing headphones
Chuck was still sending in plays so I don’t think it’s fair to
judge him after one year under Chuck and maybe his calming
presence and allowing his assistants to do their jobs without
interfering might be a good thing for SBU

We do need a developer of talent as we are coming off an 0-10
season with a roster to match, the cupboard is bare (and
becoming barer if that is a word), and quality portal guys
aren't heading our way. And a staff of similarly minded talent
developers. And a five-year plan to break .500 in the CAA.

but whoever gets the job should have a good resume so I’m not
concerned about players not wanting to come here. A good coach
should be able to draw talent and hopefully win especially if
       he’s done it already

He's been a purported finalist for JMU and SU, or said
otherwise, a top 25 and P5 FBS school, he will not be making the
       "jump" from HC to SBU
[/quote] Yes, SU maybe, JMU definitely, SBU? No way.

If SH has salary constraints on how much he can spend on a new
HC because of what they owe Chuck then the OC might be their
best option. The other thing to keep in mind is how much budget
is the new HC going to have to hire a staff

Exactly. And in Dressner's case, he can be the head coach, as
well as the offensive coordinator. That's 2 for 1, and like you
and I said, you can't have P on the payroll still (owing 1
million over 2 years) and have the budget for a new staff. Hate
to say it, but it will be a 2-year deal until P is off the
       books.

We shouldn't have fired Priore if we couldn't eat the cost of
his contract. Honestly, I'd rather still have Priore and hope to
just get back to 5 wins then make a low budget hire now and
       limit their resources.

I think you meant to say is. SH should not have given Priore a 3
year contract extension last year with only one win under his
       belt? Yeah, I thought so!!

How tragic is it that we could have a "salary restraint" on our
head coach while Delaware fans are able to raise $3.5M of their
FBS application fee in a week

are you telling us SH has salary constraints on how much he can
spend and are people on here running with that as fact or are
you posing a scenario asking "What if SH has salary
       constraints"? Im confused.

What if is what I’m saying because when I hear the best guy is
the current OC then name him already and move on so he can put a
       staff together
