only one person from the current staff has had one and that is
the OC not sure who else has been interviewed

Differences of opinion is all good. Debates are what makes
message board fun. I too was anti-Priore and am anti-SH, and sad
at the current direction of our athletics.
But it gets tiring listening same political agenda over and over
on this board… woke, liberals, progressives, swamp…
if I want to read these BS I can just go to foxnews website.

been locked. The thread "2023 players going into the portal" was
a productive and important thread. Members should be allowed to
express their opinions, arguments should be had, free thought
and speech should be had. Agree to disagree should be had. If a
member is COMPLETELY disrespectful or inflammatory then message
him/her and warn them but to just delete a post or suspend the
member without warning(I have been a recipient of these actions
and more than one occasion) is counter productive to a Forums
main purpose , which is free speech and the ability to argue
your opinions or points. Im probably going to get suspended for
this post and I'm sure it will be deleted. Prove me wrong.

Posts in violation of forum rules have been modified/removed.
These are the terms you agreed to when you signed up. End of
story.
The only reason the discussion is productive is because the
moderators have worked at removing violative content.
Also, freedoms of speech and expression do not apply here.
Check the Constitution or with a lawyer.
You are proven wrong.

I'm all for friendly debate and disagreement but the endless
irrelevant political commentary was getting exhausting. No need
for that on a sports forum and it was never productive or adding
anything to a conversation.

Please lets all make a greater effort to adhere to the rules of
the SBU Fan Board.
This is a privately hosted (CreateAForum.com), volunteer-run (by
fans for the fans) sports forum with a set of rules in place to
keep things civil and as close to the topic as possible (topic
being SBU Athletics)
Be mindful that "free speech" as protected by the constitution
is in relation to expressing YOUR ideas and opinions without
retaliation from the U.S GOVERNMENT.

Thank you moderators- felt like every thread was deteriorating
into the same pattern over and over again. I was employed by
Stony Brook for several years and was a student there
beforehand. Being accused of drinking SBU Kool-Aid for calling
out that behavior was great. It was annoying to see
WOKE/swamp/etc every thread and not focus on real/substantive
issues that actually matter.
Back on topic, I hope we hear something in the next couple of
weeks. Lots of players entering the transfer portal and I’m
hopeful we can get a coach that will use the portal to fill some
big holes on this team.
Dressner would be OK but that would not be the home run hire
this university needs. Need somebody with NY/NJ roots with an
exciting offense. I love a good defense but a dynamic offense
will bring people back to Lavalle much quicker than a dominant
defense

I wouldn't be excited by Dresner, but he was pretty clearly a
scapegoat after Maine's new head coach only won 2 games in 2022
(and he again only won 2 games in 2023)
That said, I would be really disappointed if he gets the job.
