I'm thrilled to have the NIT bid locked up and know that these
seniors will be playing in the post season. Now lets hope they
take care business in Hartford next week so we can see them one
more time on campus!

and I just want to make one somewhat negative comment: does
anyone else think our guards are making their shots more
difficult than they need to be? There were so many
fadeaway/difficult jumpers in todays game. I think the team
needs to do a better job settling down and wait/work for the
easy opportunity.

Congratulations to the team- but also- congratulations to the
fans. A perfect 13-0 at Pritchard this year.
And a 20 win season to boot- plus a reg season title, and a
guaranteed NIT berth.
Ill be on campus saturday but ill be at the lacrosse game.
Anyone going to the Bench for a morning-cap? Lax starts at
1pm...

At times it seems like that. Where I saw the issue was when
they drove the lane and Maines bigs rotated to cover underneath.
The turn-around/fade-aways came instead of a kick out to
another guard.
Honestly, I didn't mind seeing it, as they (Coley especially)
had a few easy layups on drives like that. And aggressive play
like that helps Joyner and Rapier as you get America East bigs
rack up fouls from America East refs...

Chris Martin was the master of driving to the basket. Make the
basket , get the foul or just get fouled and he was on the line.
Our guards should show more of that. The long two or three
from outside is nice but freebies from the line help. Plus it
puts the interior defense on their heels avoiding foul trouble
late in a game. Coley is getting the knack of driving into big
men, it takes the other guys out of the game.
