I just watched the post-game conference. Coach P is a scumbag,
and not only should be fired, but banned from ever coaching
another college game again. This administration is a damn joke.
Starting from the President, down to the Administration.

"You heard what I just said." WHAT A FUCKING ASSHOLE. I don't
care what level you're coaching or how young/old the reporter
asking the question is. That's a terrible answer and is mocking
the reporter. But literally, no one of importance at the school
cares. And for anyone who will try to defend Chuck because the
next words he said were, "You can throw those ten on me," those
are empty words from a man who sits back and drinks his Pepsi,
knowing the direct deposit will hit tomorrow.
"This program should get the respect they've had." What respect?
They're 97-101 since he took over 18 years ago. Four playoff
appearances, never past the second round. The last time they
finished .500 or better was six years ago. Since moving to the
CAA 10 seasons ago, SBU has finished above .500 twice. Add in
the 5-5 finish in 2015, and you've got three .500 or better
seasons in 10 years. Yippie. Only two double-digit win seasons
in 18 years.
Fun little stat guessing game: Over the 198 games he's coached
at SBU, how many games do we think Chuck has had his handy,
dandy Pepsi bottle by his side? Are they a secret sponsor?
Couldn't be, no one fucking watches his press conference aside
from the athletic department and us. O/U 100 Pepsi's.

We know its on him and the ad but they will do nothing and if
they do the problem is heilbron will be the one hiring a new
coach and that cant be good. they both need to go.

That press conference is disgusting. Chuck can't even handle
being asked how he thought the team looked today without lashing
out like a baby. "How do YOU think?" Deplorable behavior. You're
the one getting paid $500,000 a year to go winless and you're
going to refuse to answer a perfectly normal question by
flipping it back on the kid and making him answer on your
behalf? Is your ego really that big that you can't face the
music and try to give honest answers about why everything went
terribly for you this year? "We demand respect." Gimme a break,
you're 2-19 over the last 2 years, that's the college equivalent
of Hue Jackson level.
As much as there's been a lot to critique about Geno for his
tenure here, he at least has always been respectful during
interviews and has never shown any sort of attitude to the media
even during his worst stretches. Priore is just making himself
look terrible.

Yeah that post game press conference was hard to watch. I have
nothing to add beyond the comments already made. The Statesman
journalist should be proud of himself

Just watched the presser, and it was quite unprofessional. Will
SBU continue its long-standing D1 sports tradition of not firing
a coach before his/her contract expires? My guess is that he'll
be back next year, and as already stated by others, who in their
right mind is going to want to play for this rapidly declining
program, except perhaps local and sub-D1-caliber type players?
If there is any reason to change things at the top, now is the
time. Have to hang this on Heilbron as well. If you recall,
when he came aboard he clearly stated that the Football team
would be his centerpiece for the Athletics sports programs
moving forward. Enough said.
Onto basketball.........

Texas A&M is going to eat 76 million to get rid of Jimbo Fischer
just FYI. It’s ridiculous that they can’t get rid of winless
Chuck. Obviously we aren’t going to eat a contract like that but
500k is small peanuts in the big scheme of things- if they don’t
reverse the decline of this program it’s going to be a money
sink for years to come.
I would love to get that Statesman reporter to write a story
about covering the team during this year. Chuck has been
repeatedly very rude to this student. Dude thinks he’s Nick
Saban and we should be thankful to listen to him. Chuck is lucky
the students are the only media asking him questions.

even defending attendance lol) but to have literally 55 penalty
yards in the first 8 minutes is absolutely disqusting and that
falls on the coaches not enforcing discipline, no one on this
team is responsible. So done. I will NOT be returning next

the game and it was more like 600.

NOT defending or twisting anyone's words. The tent area had way
more than 30, although the did leave throughout the game. The
stadium numbers can be fairly accurate at 600ish. The announcer
actually had the ordacity to "thank the student section for all
the energy they bring to every game" !!!!! There may have been
20 in the student section and may not have even been students
lol. Regardless this program is hard grounded and it's going to
take a lot more than one or two firing to get it afloat again.
