The near future for sb football sucks

If you saw Priores press conference he is not going anywhere and
it sounds like he knows it because there is a very little chance
they by out the rest of his contract and I dont think we should
want them to as long as Heilbron is here. Do you want Heilbron
hiring the next coach?
Theres at least 2 more years of this coach and AD and probably
more because the president just wants to extend people instead
of address the problems so the future for at least the next 2
years isnt good for sb football. They should just fold the
program and focus on basketball where the money is.
If they did hire a new AD and that one hires a new coach it
would take a couple of years to even start to rebuild. It could
be done faster with the portal and grad students but they would
have to hire a coach that could attract decent players with
higher level of talent.
So theres probably at least four more years of this garbage and
BS.

I think Priore will be fired after the season. I also don't have
any problem with Heilbron hiring a replacement. I've been happy
with lacrosse and women's basketball. I also think Geno has had
a bit of tough break with Covid and then all the injuries last
season, but understand others frustrations.

Heilbron has got to fix football- I think basketball will be
better (last year was an injury riddled nightmare). People like
Kaine Roberts were pressed into playing significant minutes and
this team will look better. Football has been an unmitigated
disaster. The rational part of me says they will have to fire
Priore.

fire Coach P with two years on his contract remaining because I

I agree with you. I don't see it they should and it will be a
shame if they do and heilbron is allowed to hire the
replacement. Heilbron should be gone to and his replacement
should hire the new coach.

Heilbron hiring the swim coach and the soccer coach that left
and got fired by Yale? Heilbron extending priore? I dont want
him anywhere near the process of hiring a new football coach and
he cant raise the money to support them. There have been other
issues with coaches.

Fair points- I think its clear Heilbron has no idea how to build
a DI football program. The question is whether the absolute
bungling of the football program will get him fired- at any
other DI university it would but its not going to happen here.
He inherited (relatively) successful men's basketball and
football programs and they've deteriorated rapidly.

Nope, and Priore knows it by his contempt to the pressure
question. He knows he can walk out to the 50, drop his draws and
moon the crowd and nothing will happen. They loose and these
guys(coaches/staff) run in the building to catch other games on
TV without even a second thought of the teams loss. It would be
an incredible moment (not that it would ever happen) if the
entire team told them they are entering the transfer portal.

If the president continues with this AD SB could eventually end
up in the SUNYAC. thats basically how exciting this program has
become.
