This langauge is truly boilerplate at every school and has no
impact on athletics at Stony Brook

A boilerplate statement on a university website is one thing and
actions are another. SB pushed the idology that was pushed by
the woke america east conference commisioner and had players
wearing rainbow logo shirts and fists on uniforms. the halftime
show a few weeks ago was revealing. all schools have to have
that statement on their websight but sb goes out of their way to
push the ideology. Ask former players who were forced to march
with the football team back in 2020. ask former players on
basketball teams and lacrosse and soccer teams who had to wear
shirts on special nights for games.
It does play a role in recruiting and I know many kids who went
elsewhere who played on teams with our daughter growming up
       because of it.

I'm not much of a political person myself but I truly don't
think it has much of an impact, if at all, on the program.
Priore wasn't being woke when he ran the ball up the middle on
three straight downs and overriding the playcalls of his OC, he
was just a bad coach independent of any political beliefs.
Recruits have bigger priorities on their list than trying to
avoid politics, woke or not. I highly doubt most football
players at schools like BYU and Liberty are as heavily religious
as those schools' reputations, they just want to play ball.
