while yes, players will leave- i'll at least state the obvious-
which is that these days often a coach takes some players with
them to their new landing spot. whether that's good or bad,
TBD!

I would guess that players who hardly played or didn’t play at
all will still leave and the scholarship players will wait until
the new coach is hired

Why do you assume they will leave? Perhaps they weren't given a
chance because the coaching staff sucked and didn't make next to
no subs on either side of the ball. And after going winless, how
can you assume the scholarship players are that much better
than the players who didn't get as much time or no time at all?

Usually when there’s a coaching change the first ones that want
to leave are the PWO’s I know this from when LIU changed their
HC and from talking to College Coaches that I know who said the
same thing

One other thing there are players on the SBU Roster right now
that are PWO’s that should be on Scholarship right now so I
agree they weren’t given hardly any chances

There are scholarship players who were never given a chance
either. No scholarship is worth sticking around for the smoke to
clear. Lol
