Why do people act like all kids going into the portal are
clueless and making mistakes. I really think the portal was
partly made for kids who find themselves in bad situations like
Stony Brook so they can get out. I know Hatch likes to mock
those kids but hes one reason they leave.

I never said kids going into the portal are clueless but rather
thinking they’re better than what they really are and shouldn’t
have been at SBU in the first place. Players like Lawton and
McKee and a few others were special but many of the others were
never going to play here and that’s not a knock at any player
who has left or will leave.
One other thing I believe 15-20 players will enter the portal
and SBU will probably bring in about 25-30 between transfers,
scholarships and PWO’s.

We are 0-6 and have had six losing seasons so no one who is
elite is coming here next year unless they have no other
options. That is sad.

That’s not true we have two commitments already Alex Menghi one
of the top receivers on LI from St. Anthony’s and OT Blowes (his
first name escapes me right now) could play on any other CAA
team and there are two other LI kids that are top players will
be committing here soon. I know that everyone wants Coach P
fired however he will definitely be here for 2024 but I believe
if 2024 is a repeat of 2023 he will be gone. One thing SBU does
well is recruit however developing those players has been a
struggle. The first NSD takes place in mid December so let’s see
who SBU brings in before we throw in the towel. The second one
takes place in February. Finally we could go 0-10 and still have
a very good 2024 Recruiting Class.

associated with the SBU Coaching Staff

A lot of us threw in the towel after what they did to McKee
last year. If the coach is back in 2024 SB and heilbron will be
an even bigger joke in college football. I dont know why a
parent would want their kid to play here right now and if they
had better opportunities they should take them. No one comes to
watch you play and you lose.

I stand corrected you guys are right. But they will try and try
to do it without care. He will have to be creative in finding an
excuse to sit on the sideline because the offense is thin as
thin can be right now

If 24 is a repeat of 23! Really? what happened to 23 being a
repeat of 22? LOL and I can keep going. The writing is in the
keeping of the staff. "WE DONT CARE"
