So Richmond lost to Morgan State by seven to kick off their
season. Morgan State then lost to Towson by ten this week, and
SBU plays Morgan State in a few weeks. The only two games on the
schedule I could realistically see SBU having a fighting chance
are this week at home against Richmond and in a couple of weeks
at Morgan State. If they go 0-2 during those games, wouldn't
shock me. 2-0, wouldn't truly shock me either but would cause a
double take. If Chuck Priore wants to save the team's season, a
win this week is a MUST. Can't start 0-4 and keep saying the
same **** about it being a rebuild or whatever [EDITED] he and
Hatch are spewing this week and expect someone won't eventually
realize the state is being robbed of hundreds of thousands of
dollars.

I agree with this analysis. the problem is that everyone knows
the program has hit the skids and it in what its 6th straight
losing season? No one cares. There aren't a lot of fans and
Heilbron ruined football. the president is no where around and
never talks about athletics and she doesnt give interviews on
athletics to the Statesmen.
At any other school with a fan base and that cared about
football the AD would fire the coach and start from the ground
up but he cant do that because he just have the coach an
extension and said to the president that this is his guy. He is
a joke as AD. I still cant help but wonder where we would be if
Fiore hadnt had to leave.

Because of heilbron there will be 8 straight losing seasons at
sb. Players dont want to come here to play for the coach and
they know he has losing seasons so players will only come here
as a last resort. It really doesnt matter if they win 2,3 or 4
games. Its still going to be another losing season with next
years losing season to look forward to as long as heilbron is
here.

Richmond is always a solid team- these Virginia teams always
have solid rosters
If SBU can't win this game, they will most likely go winless
this year unfortunately.

The CAA is a haves and haves not conference. Anything can happen
each week but the have nots cant be counted on to rise to the
occasion more than once a season if theyre not favored.

There will be some rain and wind and they canceled everything
but the game only at Stony Brook. Boston College didnt cancel
anything last weekend and they were expecting to be in a
hurricane.
