This play calling is once again, atrocious. Typical Priore's BS.
All these screens that go nowhere, short passes on 3rd and long,
Case not hitting open receivers again. That Priore extension is
flat malpractice.

Just tuned in, not looking good. Don’t think that was a fumble
on that last touch down.

there is not a lot of discipline on this team. Martin punched a
URI player in his privates and backed SB up to their own end
zone. Late hits.

Didn’t expect a win but was hoping they could at least keep it
competitive. I honestly feel this team has a solid chance of
being winless this year. I don’t think that’s enough to get
Priore fired though- Heilbron will write something about the
results being unacceptable but that Priore sat down and
discussed ways to improve for next year. It’s hilarious how
Priore talked about rebuilding after several consecutive losing
years

They will not fire the coach even if he goes winless. They wont
fire Heilbron either. There isnt a reason to get excited about
sb football again this year thanks to heilbron. i don't think
heilbrons smart enough to fight for his job i think he is just
getting lucky and the president doesnt want to fire somebody. as
Hammertime says its the way of the swamp.

Wish we could discuss the game, and discuss how [edited] the
program AD and coaches are in a different thread…
I caught the game in the 2nd half, thought the defense played
well for the most part in that second half. They made big plays
then eventually give up a big play. I am really impress with the
Dline play I said that last week as well.
I did notice Coach P didn’t have headsets on this game, and the
offense seemed a little more open as far as the play calling,
but the execution wasn’t there.
One thing I notice different about this team is that they
continue to fight, unlike last year if they’re we’re down 1
score coming out at halftime they already packed it in and
looked like they didn’t even want to play. This year there’s
some fight so that’s some improvement.

Here is how imagine Priore's post game..."We did some good
things in the first half on offense and defense. I thought we
played them close, except for a couple of big plays. At the
half, I told the team to forget about the scoreboard, and to go
out and compete, which we did. I thought we won the second half.
Rhode Island's a heckava team, lots of experience, well-coached.
I told the team to expect that. We got a lot of young players
that are still learning. We'll continue to get better." :P

About the game:
Penalties: 8-80 including a cheap shot by Martin to a URI
players groin.
Fumbles: 2 with 1 lost.
Offensive plays: 61 for 248 yards of offense vs. URI 61 plays
for 414 yards
Passing: 17 of 30 with one pick thrown.
First downs: 16 vs 19 for URI
Rushing: 31/109 vs. URI 35/115
Sacks: 4/28 vs URI 1/12
Statistically the teams were close in many categories. One is
better coached than the other and the final score which is the
most important stat shows that. One team is executing on the
field and the other did not. The defense is the bright spot and
the coach who came back is doing a really good job. they should
let him coach the offense.
There are only 11 games in the season so there isnt a lot of
time to improve with a team that has five straight losing
seasons.
Even the announcers for URI said that Stony Brook has lost 7
straight road games! How is that possible? But this is the
product they chose to put on the field again this year. Fighting
and moral victories may make some fans happy but not most
because most fans dont buy the BS that this is a rebuilding
year. Its a long bus ride home tonight and doubt has to be
creeping in where it isnt already.

The important stat is the final score no matter what anyone
wants to say. If this continues it will be six straight losing
seasons.
