They dont have depth at sb. Defense was gassed after the 1st
quarter. There were some bright spots but no consistent play at
key positions. They might not win a game this year. The place
was empty in the 4th quarter.

I heard the half time show was one for the ages!! Very fitting
for SBU these days. And that fire up the crowd music was very
exciting!! WOKE on steroids

They have plenty on the defence side but again with their style
of coaching they don't reach into it and would rather run their
entire line into the ground without a break. The entire staff is
fouled from the top to the bottom, the entire batch needs to
go!!

Defense made a bunch of big plays- gave up a ton of yards but
its just unsustainable to expect the defense year after year to
try to keep this team in games. I don't think anybody on this
forum can think of a reason that they extended Priore but they
did. I have no idea how good Case will be- this was his most
meaningful game action since high school so I'm hoping he is
better.
If the offense does not improve, there is absolutely no way you
can keep trotting out Priore and his bland vision of football. I
know he stated he gave up offensive playcalling but based on
watching this game, it looked like old school Chucky ball.

Over 11,000 people watched SB get embarrassed by Delaware, at
home. Chucky Cheese prize QB looked every bit of a backup, who
never started a game since high school.
The next home game will be a ghost town, especially if Rhode
Island dismantles SB, something I am surely expecting.
Chucky Cheese said in his post-game interview that this is a
rebuilding team. There are many new starters on both sides of
the ball. Well, Chucky. Every college team rebuilds year in and
year out. Delaware QB is a freshman and he totally destroyed
your defense in the first half.
For the President to give SH and coach P a new, three-year
contract, after a dismal performance year in and year out has
all the looks of...... We don't care about sports here at SBU.
Just stay within my athletic budget so I don't get into trouble
with Albany. How in the world did this school garnish 11,000
people to watch these clowns embarrass themselves and the
players on the field?? I just don't get it. Maybe because it was
your typical first-day game back from summer break, with
beautiful weather to boot? I suppose.

On a positive note the crowd was large and the weather was
absolutely terrific for a night game.
And the CAA preseason poll looks to be spot on regarding SBU.
Long season upcoming.

Thought the defense played well to start. Was really impressed
with the Dline play, but after numerous 3&outs they eventually
got tired. They might want to consider rotating guys in and out
earlier to keep everyone somewhat fresh. Still not a fan of the
off coverage we are playing on the outside receivers, teams
destroyed us with those long outside throws all year last year
and Delaware continued to expose us. Please put in a man free
defense as a change up, its painful to have 3 and long
converted every time on an out route or hitch by the outside
receiver.
The offense looked exactly the same as last year. Open up the
offense.
Great crowd last night.
