And because of that, knocked Albany down a notch CAA champion
wise in my head.

"If UAlbany, Richmond and Villanova finish tied for first at
7-1: There were not head-to-head meetings between all three
teams. All three teams faced Rhode Island and Stony Brook and
all three teams were 1-0 against each of them. The next
tiebreaker is point differential in conference games with a
21-point maximum per game differential. Heading into this
Saturday’s games, Villanova is +96, UAlbany is +92 and Richmond
is +58.
Should the point differential finish in a tie, the next
tiebreaker would be the best-combined conference ranking among
all teams in points scored and points allowed."

In the end, Villanova ended up at +117, Albany ended up at +113,
and Richmond was +59. Despite this, the playoff committee
recognized Albany beating Nova and gave them a higher seed.

Albany getting the 5 seed is insane.
Again, even during our best years, we didn't get that.

[/quote] One explanation for Albany's nice seed is that Nova got
the 8th seed (and deservedly so). Albany, who also had just one
FCS loss, had no problem beating Villanova (31-10).

And sb football team is struggling in the CAA under Shawn
heilboron. Look at Delaware Liberty Coastal Carolina and others
who we played against years ago. Heilbron has to go.

of 16.

This is the best Albany team in a long time. However remember
Richmond only barely beat SBU this year so they aren't exactly a
juggernaut
