Wanted: Dead or Alive

Once Hexor has returned with Tali in tow, he gathers everyone in
the main room.
"It seems we have some choices to make. None of us can return to
our homes or lives at the moment. I, for one, need to clear my
name of this conspiracy and reclaim that which as been taken
from me. To that end, I need to investigate this attack as much
as I can. I am open to suggestion, but my plan is to rest here
for the night, recover, then move out into the underdark, as
close as we can to the Westwind place. I'm sure from there we
can backtrack the trail of the attackers and figure out where
they came from. Then it is a simple matter of taking them out,
leaving a witness to return with, and tossing them at the feet
of the Prince."
He begins pacing, clearly agitated, angry even, displaying more
emotion openly than you have ever seen him do.
"We will need new names, and new faces for some of us. Luckily,
though my name has surely spread, I am sure my face has not, so
most would not recognize me on sight, but I will be magically
disguising myself never-the-less, and I suggest those of you
that can, should," he stops moving and rests his hands on his
blades.
"I am open to suggestions for alternate plans, but know this
clearly: anyone who had anything to do with this plot against me
will pay," his hands tighten on his hilts, and a feral smile
spreads across him face. "They will pay dearly."

Halan tries: "Do you have any reason to believe the mages in the
city are against you due to these allegations? We could try to
ask them if they have the sequence to a teleportation circle in
or close to Westwind. I personally would much rather move
aboveground than in the Underdark, especially when there's an
attack force that razed a city of 2600 people. Whether there are
50 or a thousand, I'd much rather try to track them than to bump
into them in the Underdark."

Hexor to Halan "Given what we've seen, and what Father Holden
told me, the records of the truth finding were corrupted and
made to look as if we were guilty. I do not know how hire this
goes, or who is involved. I am confident we can navigate these
tunnels just as easy as the surface, and here, at least, we are
away from prying eyes."

"Well I definitely don't want to go among magic users if they
might want to entrap me. I might have a contact in the palace
willing to help; I can't be sure about their loyalty to the
Prince, but whatever the result of our search for the attackers
from maybe two weeks ago, we should think of any allies that
will try to talk on our behalf while we are on the lam and when
we hopefully return. Because, and I can't believe that I'm the
one telling this to you, if we are to exonerate you, we need
allies. And the Prince no longer seems to fit that bracket. We
might want to consider at least gaining someone on our side in
the city and I don't just mean Laelaer, I mean someone who isn't
your known associate."

"I am of course open to ideas. My allies are far to the east, as
I moved them from the city into my own holdings over the past
years under the assumption that I would need trusted allies at
my back during a war. I already tapped Father Holden and the
Church of Erathis in my defense. I will admit that I over
estimated their influence in the city, assuming that the truth
would clear my name. I suppose this is a casualty of being on
the surface for so long, I've lost my edge in such things,
despite my races famousness for them," he looks around the
cave-room. "Maybe it is good that I have returned here, I have
been long away from my homeland and too long, perhaps, on the
surface."

Kiran coughs a little nervously. "Let's not start planning our
life in the Underdark just yet, please, some of us are fond of
the outside world." He drags his hands down his face. "If...
well, since Father Holden wasn't able to garner any favour, the
influence of Melora's church might also be... lesser." Kiran
starts pacing as well. "Who else do we know? There is the Dragon
Hunter's Guild, who are a legitimate group, but I could always
get word to my friends who are beside the law, in case anything
like that helped. As far as others... there's not really anyone
else in the city I can think of. Ideas?"
He stops for a second. "Oh, and, Hexor, how safe is going to
Westwind immediately? Even though we're presumably in argument
about not wasting time or else whoever it is might get away? One
would think they'd be looking for us, and I'm not as confident
in our disguises as I'd like to be, since they do have
spellcasters too."

Hexor walks off without a word, about 30ft feet away. He begins
drawing on the ground with his chalk, ritually casting Tiny Hut.
He then walks into it, without so much as a look back.

Halan pulls out his cittern and starts going through the chords
to his Hexor songs while telling Kiran: "I may have some
leftover goodwill in the Palace. Not with the Prince, but with
someone close enough to him. Of course there is the question of
trustworthiness but... there might be some loyalty and
protectiveness in that person in regards to me. They're like
me." He underscores that by flashing his eyes at Kiran.
"If nothing else they might give us a bit more information about
what's been happening in Silverkeep, if the Prince is any
different and how, and maybe be able to set things up to go in
Hexor's favour, if that's even possible anymore. They told me I
had to trust someone sometimes. Maybe it's time to put their own
saying to the test."
He looks pointedly towards the Tiny Hut. "But I would need
someone smart enough to tell me what to attempt to find out. And
to get me back to the city."
