"Zhaun dosst k'lar, dalninuk. Dosst usstan'sargho zhah natha
chiana ulu dos." Then she pauses and adds, "Usstan kestal dosst
lince'sa zhah duul'sso de' elg'cahl."

Kiran purses his lips.
Is she insulting you, me, or both of us perhaps? Then he rolls
his eyes.
"I'm not going to argue with an apparition from a sword, my
gods. Let us hear some clear answers from you, Tamlan, please."

Watching Gemflower's past, Mara looked heartbroken to see all
that he had suffered. However, when the green flames began to
grow her hand left Tali's back as she tried to scramble away
from the illusion, backing up a few feet in horror before she
went still and wrapped her arms around her knees. For once she
looks small, curled in on herself with her eyes staring into
nothing. The conversation continues around her without her
paying any mind, eyes vacant far after the illusory flames have
gone.

With his newly acquired perceptiveness Halan notices Mara, poofs
Bubo on her shoulder and has him nudge her and try to get her to
notice and pay attention to him instead of the flames as he
waits for Tamlan's response.

Tamlan watches Mara's regression with curiosity. "I guess she
does have secrets after all."
In response to Hexor and Halan, Tamlan stands once more. "You
both seem very concerned with being found. But have you
considered that maybe it's been with us all along?" He turns to
Hexor and widens his eyes while wiggling his fingers, as though
he were telling a scary story to children. "That it's here
right now?"
He relaxes and casually points a finger at Hexor. "You know the
why of Gemflower. If you wish to know the why of the torture,
that's a different question. The same goes for your sister. Her
presence bought her entry into the game, but it is a new round
now."

"You misunderstood. I was not concerned about being found by
this thing. I was concerned about it being a slave master and I
hold no particular love for those. My question was about getting
you rid of it, stopping it, killing it, whatever; it was not
about avoiding it because as long as you are with us the way
that things stand, it ca find us. You say it told you to get
the wand, for example. Avoidance is not a realistic option from
what you say, fine then. I ask if assault is. Or what you think
could be done."

"Oh, It didn't tell me to get the wand. That was another
otherworldly entity entirely!" Tamlan looks off into the
distance, ponderously. "They do seem to flock to me."

Halan raises an eyebrow, his face composed again. "Point
stands."

Sudden Hexor stops moving and narrows his eyes at Tamlan,
flicking them between him and Vexor, noting the similarities.
"I see now. You've set the stage well, and I applaud you for
drawing me into your golhyrr." He gives Tamlan a deep bow of
respect, and when he raises, his arrogant smirk is back on his
face. "But no more, I see through it now," he says, walking over
to nearby boulder and leaning against it. He rolls his hand in a
'well go on' gesture.
"Whenever you are ready to end this, I'm eager to see what you
have planned for a finale. By all means, 'Tear reality' and
'alter time'," he says in a mocking tone, but you notice his
hands never stray far from his weapons, and the boulder he
picked, is near enough to Tamlan to engage, far enough away to
flee, and large enough to hide behind.
Be ready, the end comes soon - Hexor sends over his link to
Kiran. He reaches out to the others, one by one, adding those
who accept into his Hivemind, excluding Tamlan.

As Bubo appears on Mara's shoulder she starts, then smiles and
pets him. Looking at Halan gratefully, she accepts Hexor's line
of communication. 'I'm sorry,' she thinks. 'I really was trying
to be past that. I didn't want to trouble anyone.'
