*evil grinning face from the sky* I understand that you are
going to head to Karak-Thwor. Since none of your characters have
ever been there, how are you going to find entrance into it?
Also, the maps make note of the Undergrimm but since none of you
are dwarves, you would have no idea where to easily locate the
entrances let alone have a idea of how to navigate the road.
So, what direction of travel are you going to go?
oh, Boram isn't dead. He's just a social pariah living as a
hermit....somewhere.

Since she would rather not rush into this blindly, Lylth is
going to start by asking around the Herald's Academy, the school
outside of Copperton, and see if any of their Masters/Mistresses
have any knowledge, or if the library there has any info.
If none of that pans out then she will make the 2 day ride back
to Bordertown and go talk to the Ironshield Clan that she met
when she was returning Knuckles body after he fell. She is going
to inform them of her desire to go into the Blackwood and the
Karak itself. She will ask them, as a long lived race and
masters of the Undergrimm, if they know any hidden paths or
anything that might help?
She is also going to ask among the elves, since she has been
spending her time in the city helping them, and ask if any of
the elders have tales of any hidden paths.
If all that fails, she will go to the Sage again and see if he
can give us a lead.

While the dwarves thank you for the return of their kinsmen they
are tight lipped about anything related to the Undergrimm or
Karak-Thwor.
The elves tell you that the forest formerly known called
brightwood no longer has any of the roads and trails that once
existed, as far as they know. They have refused to step foot
back into the forest since they become overwhelmed with grief at
the tremendous loss they suffered there.
The folks in copperton tell you that a group of adventurers had
gone in there several years ago but is unsure of the exact
location. Something about caves.
The sage tells you that there are up to 3 possible entrances
into Karak-Thwor: 1) the actual entrance is on the South face of
the mountain marked by stone carving of the Dwarven God Moradin
on the mountain side; 2) The undergrimm is said to run the
length of the mountains but the actual entrances are a dwarven
secret that even does not have access to; 3) There are a series
of caves along the east side of the mountains that could
possibly lead to the undergrimm or even the mines of
Karak-Thwor.

Assuming Lylth reports all of this back to the party...
"Mother fucking dwarves and their stupid fucking mountain
fortresses and their gods damned secrets..." Milo replies,
clearly somewhat exasperated. Taking a deep breath he then
continues to say, "Well if getting in the front is practically
impossible, and the under belly is literally inaccessible by
normal means, I say we gear up for mountaineering and go in the
back, up the eastern side of the mountains and in through the
caves. We'll need a great deal of supplies, and a damn good map
of the eastern side of the mountains. A guide would be even
better..."
Milo trails off in thought for a moment before asking, "Unless
someone has objections or better ideas, and I am very open to
suggestions, I'll go ahead and get all the basic stuff we need
for the trip, cart, food, climbing gear and so on?"

"I amm sure the dwarves have their reasons for keeping such
things to themselves, Master Fletcher, even if we cannot
understand it." Lylth will comment back, trying to calm Milo
down. "I feel given our options this is the best we can hope
for, but then no one said it was going to be easy going. I have
some funds tucked away if you need any assistance in rounding up
what we might need. I too would prefer a guide, but I do not
even know where to begin looking for one. Who would be so
willful as to want to go into the Blackwood willingly, and then
having returned safely, be willing to return again." She looks
over the group as a whole before continuing.
"This is going to be hard journey but even so I except each of
you to do what you can to prepare. Food, clothing, supplies.
While we can get some common items, each of you should seek out
what you feel you might need for the trip." She pauses to hold
everyone gaze for a moment before untying a pouch of gold from
her belt and tossing it to Milo. With a nod her turns and heads
out of the inn to gather her own supplies.
