The woman's eyebrow lifts for a moment before she dips into a
slight bow, eyes never leaving Hexor's.
"I am Laelaer, of the Hun'ani," she says, her smirk turning
decidedly more toothy. She slips from Common to High Drow with a
fluid familiarity. [spoiler]"Formerly, of course."[/spoiler]
Hexor recognizes the name Hun'ani as a renowned group of female
spies and assassins, one that had quite a prestigious
reputation.
"It's very fortunate that you have found my place of business.
I'm sure we can achieve your needs," she nods at Hexor, "and
uphold your modesty," she nods at Kiran, "though you would look
lovely in whatever you wore. And there are very few fashions
unwelcome in the Palace."
She snaps her fingers and several bolts of dark cloth float into
the room from behind the curtain to lean up against the counter,
along with some silver, gold, and red threads. A leather bound
books lands in her waiting palm and she flips past clothing
designs until she reaches a blank page. With a quick hand she
begins to sketch a loose design of something a bit more modest
than what she's currently wearing; it keeps the elements of
traditional Drow garb but manages not to show nearly as much
skin.
As she sketches, she looks up at Hexor from the corner of her
eyes and says, in High Drow [spoiler]"I serve those who are able
to pay... or make it worth my time."[/spoiler]

While shopping, Mara's keeping an eye out for trinkets to send
home with Luxe. She'd also like to see if there are any nice
swords around, as someone owes her a new one. She's after
gossip, both from home and how Luxe is doing these days. She has
lots of questions about how Luxe and Halan came to know each
other.
After shopping, Mara's more than happy to go with Kiran to visit
Melora's temple with him. "You know I'll follow wherever you
need me. Don't worry, I'll hold your hand if you get too
nervous."
As for Hexor dressing us all up, Mara's happy to wear the option
that involves pants. She doesn't need armor, but there's no way
you're getting her in a dress.

Every time Mara starts to look seriously at a sword, Luxe will
step up and comment on things that are wrong, or not pleasing
about it. A scratch on the hilt, a barely noticeable mark in the
blade, a loose thread on the grip.
"If you're going to have a new blade, you should make it worth
your time," she says, sending a condescendingly sweet smile
toward the smith currently glowering at her. "Come, let's take a
look at the leather works over here."
She pulls Mara along, sweeping her eyes across the crowd until
she sees a familiar face. The corners of her eyes crinkle as she
smiles quickly at Halan, then continues to pull Mara into the
next shop.
"I noticed, during my visit, that a certain someone hasn't been
taking such great care of his bracers. The leather was starting
to crack. Honestly, it's like he's never had armor before." She
rolls her eyes as she picks up a pair of leather bracers,
running her fingers across the surface and studying the quality
of the stitching.

“You will find my House quite welcoming of those that serve
well. We are not a House without resources, though minor in
comparison to your own great ‘family’.” Hexor says with smile,
while watching her work.
Hexor’s face remains politely blank, but if anyone knows him you
catch a widening of the eyes while she works, his only display
acknowledging the impressiveness of her abilities.
“Yes, these will do nicely. I will have one of my cadre return
here with the necessary measurements before days end. When will
they be ready?”
While they are talking shop anyone around can make a Perception
check.

Hexor’s hands have been subtlety moving the entire time, and the
tailor’s hands have been as well. You are confident they are
related but unsure of how.

“I do wish everything to be as near perfect as possible for my
meeting, to avoid any unpleasantness. You know how these things
can go” Hexor says to her with a knowing smile, showing his
teeth.
Kiran – You’ve seen Hexor smile before, but this smile has
something very feral about it, as if there is barely chained
violence simmering under it. You’ve seen this type of smile on
his face before while walking the paths of his memories, from
long ago. From what you remember of those times, it was not a
pleasant experience, for the other party.

Kiran steps a little closer to watch Laelaer work, and so he
doesn't miss both of their hands moving in tandem (metal dice
are the best honestly). He keeps watching.
When he notices Hexor's s smile, his eyes close for several
moments and he takes a slow breath. Then he nudges Hexor,
catching his eye, as if wordlessly asking, "what?"

With a flicker of power Hexor will open a link between his and
Kiran's mind.

After a little while, once their transactions are complete,
Hexor will again give the tailor a formal nod, and move to hold
the door open for Kiran.

Kiran looks at the tailor, inclines his head with a polite
smile, and walks out of there.
Once they're a bit farther from the shop, he lifts his hand and
wiggles his fingers. "Can I ask what this was about?"

'If we must," Hexor replies with a laugh. "Surely you have heard
of 'drow sign', yes?"
