It’s the day after your initial arrival in Silverkeep. Some of
you stayed up late, catching up with old friends and drinking
far more than was wise, or researching in the Arcane Library.
Some of you had other things to take care of and disappeared
from the group for some reason or another. The morning greets
some of you like a slap in the face, while others rise early to
start their day. It’s currently about 8 am, the main room of the
tavern is relatively full but quiet save for the clatter of
cutlery and light conversation.
For those up this early, you see: The Tiefling friend of Kiran,
Thieni, seems to have never left and currently sits at a back
table nursing some sort of warm drink, steam curling up around
his face, and a plate with some sort of pastry on it. Next to
him is a Half-Orc, mug of ale forgotten at their elbow while
they write in what looks like some sort of ledger. In one of the
other corners of the room, sitting alone with a similar looking
drink to Thieni, is a smaller figure with their hood pulled up.
What you can see of them is the pale skin of their hands, which
almost seem blue, and long strands of dark blue hair that escape
their hood. They seem relaxed in a way that belies familiarity.
What are you all doing?

Halan buys a breakfast and goes toward the corner but sits a
table away, not wanting to disturb the stranger, but glancing
towards the stranger in the corner to find out who they might be
and possibly inviting them over if they seem like they want to
talk.

Mara enters the room and goes to buy something hot and hopefully
caffeinated. Looking around, she spots the stranger and inhales
sharply. Drink forgotten, she makes her way over to the figure
and sits at the table. "Hello stranger. What news?"

The stranger takes a sip of their drink and chuckles softly. The
voice sounds feminine and the laugh itself is almost like a soft
breeze. Lifting her hood reveals a youthful face, the same pale
as her hands; and thin white swirling patterns can be seen all
over her skin. She smiles.
"It's been some time, Mara, it's good to see you again," she
turns to gaze at the other table for a moment, "Halan."
Turning back to Mara, she says, "I thought I'd see how you were
doing. Take a stroll about the capital while I was at it.
Perhaps do some shopping."

"Can I join you? It's my first time to the city and I have yet
to take in the sights, and the company would be nice." Mara
bites her lip and glances at Halan. "You know Halan. Does he
know you? Did you come to the capital for me? Is... everyone at
home alright?"
Mara inhales deeply and puts a hand to her chest. After a
moment, she smiles. "I'm sorry, I'm bombarding you with
questions. I worry. It is good to see you, my friend."

Halan considers his options and decides to walk over. He starts
speaking with a hint of amusement that does not quite reach his
eyes though. "It's a small world. I should have expected that
there are no real coincidences though. Did you send the rest of
our companions as well?"

She snorts and leans forward, resting one elbow on the table and
her chin in that hand. Her stormy gaze flicks between the two of
them and she smirks, something soft and playful.
"You are the only ones I know, but not the only ones I know of.
No, it wasn't a coincidence that I sent you to Foxmere; the only
coincidence was that the friend I wanted you to see was there,"
she says, giving a shrug and settling back in her chair. "As for
Mara, another old friend asked me to meddle so I did." The smile
she gives Mara is bright. "Everyone is fine, though they worry
for you in return. And you are welcome to join me if you'd
like."
Her gaze lands on Halan once more. "I hope my friend was able to
help you as I hoped. And the other... well, he always was one
for unannounced trips."

"Finding him has not borne many fruits yet but if you have any
tips, I'll be happy to hear them...?" he looks at her
quizzically. Then he continues.
"But your other friend was very helpful indeed. She is safe, by
the way, a fact for which you are somewhat responsible yourself
as you no doubt know by now." He pauses. "Somehow, I don't
believe your presence here is a coincidence either. Is it?"

. . for day 1. Let me know what day 2 rolls in and we'll kick

"Ah, I haven't a lead on that one either." She brushed a thumb
against her lip in agitation. "Tracked him South a bit before
the trail went cold. No worries, I'll find it again."
She ran her fingers through her hair, shaking out the ends with
a flick of her wrist.
"The one I mentioned, though, is the one I wanted to send you
to. Although, it seems I may need to bring him to you, with how
swiftly your group moves about."
With a smile thrown in Halan's direction, she stood and pulled
her hood back in place.
"And yes, I know she is safe. You all have my thanks for that.
And no, my presence is not a coincidence. Perhaps you'll figure
it out." She stepped toward the door. "For now, I believe I've a
shopping trip begin."
((As a note, we don't have to focus on one conversation at a
time, if Gemflower or Tali want to do anything.))
