A fun thing from my old forums to get to know your characters
personality. Pick a character of yours and answer in character.

Grav: The ladies got lucky here... I'm all man
Krynessa: I can be whatever you want me to be, love ;)
2) What is your age?
Grav: 24, and If you call me an old man one more time a block of
ice is gonna be your new home!
Krynessa: I am timeless.
3) What is your profession?
Grav: I usually end up being thrust into harm’s way in order to
fix some idiots mistakes, because they were too weak to do
anything about it themselves
Krynessa: I would say… I’m an entertainer. For a small fee you
can have anything you like. Tell me your fantasy…
4) Do you have any bad habits?
Grav: Sometimes I let people talk before I kill them...
Krynessa: I like to play with my food before I eat it.
5) How tall are you? Hair color? Eyes?
Grav: 5'2"... Don't even think it.... White hair and blues eyes.
Still getting used to that when I look in the mirror
Krynessa: Yes
6) Do you have any distinguishing marks?
Grav: *points at throat* ...Are you fucking serious?
Krynessa: I *am* a distinguishing mark. Beauty like mine is not
forgotten.

Grav: Ha! Look at this face... What do you think?
Krynessa: I wouldn’t be so selfish as to waste a body like this.
8 ) Have you killed anyone?
Grav: You really don't want to invite me to a party
Krynessa: A girl has to do what a girl has to do. Though most
aren’t complaining when it happens.

Grav: How much time do we have?
Krynessa: The Mitran dogs who thought they could hide me from
the world!
10) Do you have any secrets?
Grav: I can’t even remember what I'm allowed to say or not
anymore! Hmm... Should I have said that?
Krynessa: Victoria’s.
11) What is your favorite season, and why?
Grav: Winter. Once you've been to Riza it might as well be
summer year round though.
Krynessa: Summer. The sun always seems to make people feel safe
and carefree. It makes my life much easier.
12) Who is your best friend(s)?
Grav: That would be Tiny Tim the Toad Two. What’s that you
say?... Of course I know he's a hawk!
Krynessa: The lady in the mirror. This beautiful, beautiful
mirror…
13) What are your hobbies?
Grav: I've got my feelers into a bit of everything. Political
assassination, Communal genocide, immortality... You know, the
usual.
Krynessa: Sex. Can you still call it a hobby though if you’ve
mastered it?
14) What is your favorite drink?
Grav: Goblin brew! They make for interesting pets...
Krynessa: The blood of the innocent. It has that fresh non-GMO
zest you’re looking for.
15) When is your birthday?
Grav: You'll know as soon as I'm attacked from behind by that
midget, Ellywick. *grumble*
Krynessa: I’ve never had one. Hadn’t really thought if it until
now.
16) What age did you die?
Grav: What part of immortality is my hobby did you not
understand?
Krynessa: I don’t remember my mortal life. I’m sure I was
cunning enough to have lived a long and fulfilling life.
17) Are you nice or mean?
Grav: I'm exactly what the situation calls for. Is it my fault
the general populace needs to be treated like children?
Krynessa: I’m mean in all the right ways ;)
18)What do you think of your creator?
Grav: Favored in House? WTF were you thinking!?
Krynessa: He has too many morals. He holds me back.
19) What is your weakness?
Grav: I’m not to fond of fire... or diplomacy
Krynessa: I guess I’m not the strongest, but who needs strength
when you can convince others to do all the work for you.
20) How long can you stay under water?
Grav: Perks of being an elemental, you don’t have to breath.
Krynessa: Long enough to find severely cursed artifacts.
21.) What do you do on a regular day basis?
Grav: The same thing I do every day... Try to take over the
world! No, no, no. It’s a reference from another world... You
wouldn’t understand. But seriously. Try to take over the world.
Krynessa: Seek to spread the influence of Hell, that I may be
worthy of the gifts my father bestows upon me.
22.) Do you love someone?
Grav: I'm not the type to get emotional, but there is a certain
mistress of undeath I'm rather fond of.
Krynessa: Love is a powerful drug, but the profitable dealers do
not partake in the product they sell.
23.) Does that person love you back?
Grav: Well she hasn't turned me into a zombie yet, so things are
looking good
Krynessa: Many love me. Few live to talk about it.
24.) How many languages do you speak?
Grav: Again, how much time do we have?
Krynessa: I can speak to any and all creatures, but it’s what
comes after the talking that I’m more interested in.
25.) Who are your closest friends/allies?
Grav: You mean those fickle bastards who try and leech off my
success. Really I just lead them into danger and hope they don’t
make it out. Three parties, last man standing and counting!
Krynessa: For the time being there is an overly enthusiastic
half-dead traitor to his kind, that I recently had the pleasure
of turning full dead, and a manic depressive human-ish girl who
seems quite paranoid around me. Also a blue dragon. The dragon
is resistant, but I remain confident that she will be my combat
mount.
26.) Religion?
Grav: Ask my wife about that. Just don’t tell her where I am...
No, seriously. Don’t.
Krynessa: The only one that matters. Our Father Below, Asmodeus.
27.) Are you afraid of anything?
Grav: Let’s just say I get my eggs from the market, not the
farm...
Krynessa: Nothing your mortal realm can conjure.
28.) What's your family or relatives like?
Grav: Pious harpies! You bail on one arranged marriage and it’s
quite literally the skin off your back.
Krynessa: I was raised among the Furies and Whore Queens of
hell. They’re really a lot nicer than you think!

Female

Warden of the Northlands, Bulwark against the tide of the
Worldwound.
4) Do you have any bad habits?
I strive to remain above such things, yet I am only mortal. If I
am to die young, I will live my life to the fullest.
5) How tall are you? Hair color? Eyes?
Judge me by my size, do you?
6) Do you have any distinguishing marks?
I entire body bear the marks of my passage into the Light and my
endless battle against the Dark.
7) Are you a virgin?
I am sure I misunderstand you, sir! You forget yourself.
8 ) Have you killed anyone?
Only those deserving of my blade.
9) Do you hate anyone?
Hate leads to suffering, suffering to fear, and fear is the path
to darkness.
10) Do you have any secrets?
My you are bold! The knowledge I bear is for the good of all
goodly people.
11) What is your favorite season, and why?
The cleaness of a snow, how it covers the land and for a time
the Horde is kept at bay.
12) Who is your best friend(s)?
I bear many companions on my quests, yet my path is, in the end,
one I must travel alone, save for the Lady.
13) What are your hobbies?
Other than my various charities, I enjoy a good meal, a strong
drink, and a fine tale.
14) What is your favorite drink?
While few things beat mulled wine, I find nothing is better than
crisp clear water after a long day.
15) When is your birthday?
Each day is the birth of something new, and thus a cause of
celebration for all.
16) What age did you die?
Alas the Lady has not yet taken me to her side, though not for
lack of foes trying.
17) Are you nice or mean?
How you treat others is a reflection of what truly lies within.
18)What do you think of your creator?
The Lady chooses each of us for our own merits.
19) What is your weakness?
I am mortal, and there for weak for mind and body. My faith may
be shaken, but never again will it be broken.
20) How long can you stay under water?
Forever, though my life will end. My armor however, will endure.
21.) What do you do on a regular day basis?
Smite evil, slay dragons, liberate cities. All on a Tuesday.
22.) Do you love someone?
The cause is my life, the Cause is my love. With the Lady in my
heart, is there room for another?
23.) Does that person love you back?
I feel her love with every act I commit, in every action I take.
24.) How many languages do you speak?
Enough to get by. My sword speaks volumes.
25.) Who are your closest friends/allies?
The Heroes of Drezen! Lord of the retaken wastes! Long may they
live!

Is this a joke? Gaze upon my shield, take in my surcoat. Know my

Failure. I've know its taste once before, never again.

Alas they have all taken the long road home, though I will see
them again, on the other side.

An Interview with Teyla the Flambibulous, most fondly known as
the crazy Blue Goblin who talks to herself. (She will eventually
no longer be a goblin, but for the time being she is
interviewing as a Goblin Alchemist. I will update her when I
know her future self)
*notates when she is speaking a little quieter, as if to
herself.*
1) What gender are you?
Teyla: You cannot tell by the beautiful straw wig that I have
made? *Huh.* *I thought that sold it.* *Maybe a nice hat.* *No?
Really?* *Should I just be gender neutral?* *but that seems to
be the rage these days.*
2) What is your age?
Teyla: You never ask a lady that! *Right?* *No that's for
humans.* I am somewhere between 17 and 20 years old. {rolls
eyes} Thraxis says I am older, but I don't believe him. *Sorry!*
No one of note told me I am older, but I don't believe him or
her. *should I say you are gender neutral?* *Sorry! Sheesh,
someone is in a bad mood.*
3) What is your profession?
Teyla: I am an uh {nods and smiles broadly} Travelling Chemist…
*Am not!*
4) Do you have any bad habits?
Teyla: All of my habits are great habits. Like how I drink
anything and everything that is presented to me. Or when I fall
asleep in random places. Oh and my habit of being arrested… *No,
Thraxis, that is the best habit.* I have been reminded that I
also like to give money away like candy to strangers.
5) How tall are you? Hair color? Eyes?
Teyla: I am 3 feet, kinda short for an elf. *I am not a Goblin.*
*Not that either* My hair is a soft beautiful shade of golden.
Like any other elf. *I know elves are not normally blue, but
Dark elves are.* *Same thing.* EYES!! My eyes are an exotic mix
of pink and green! *Oh quit it. They don't need to know that.*
6) Do you have any distinguishing marks?
Teyla: Oh gosh, where to start? {laughs to self} My arms are
covered in several different colored scars *I will not call them
boils, that sounds icky* Some are red, blue, pink, and green to
name a few. Not to mention my other set of arms, the scars from
my experiments are unexplainable on those. *I know. I won't tell
them that.* If I explained I would have to kill you. I may have
a lump on my back, if it is till there. You should see me when I
drink my special elixir. I could go on, but I have been advised
that I should stop.
7) Are you a virgin?
Teyla: {stares blankly}
8 ) Have you killed anyone?
Teyla: Only on accident. *That wasn't killing.* Do failed
experiments count? If so then I would be in the hundreds. 333 to
be exact. I stopped at- *They didn't?* I guess you weren't
asking for numbers. *that doesn't count either* Does it count if
they tried to kill me first? Okay fine. I will settle with sort
of as my answer. *satisfied?*
9) Do you hate anyone?
Teyla: No way!! *oh yeah* Yes!! I hate everyone in my tribe.
*Okay maybe not him.* *Or her.* *Or him.* *Definitely him* Yes!!
I hate almost everyone in my tribe. I also hate the dwarf that
killed my pet rat. But we settled that. *Should I show them?*
{she eagerly pulls out an oddly well preserved severed hand from
her bag} He helped me create new way to store all my rings!
{smiles proudly}
10) Do you have any secrets?
Teyla: Oh yes! I know lots of secrets!! Lots and lots of
secrets! I even have secrets from myself! But mostly I have
other peoples secret. *I know* {rolls eyes} If I told you I
would have to kill you.
11) What is your favorite season, and why?
Teyla: Probably the time I spent in the- *Oh* You mean weather?
Duh. I like winter because I can keep more potions, concoctions,
and elixirs chilled in the sn- {ruffles brow} I mean my
medicines. My purely life saving medicines.
12) Who is your best friend(s)?
Teyla: Thraxis. *but it's true!* *You are wlecome.* I mean Durr.
Always Durr, my loyal Durr.
13) What are your hobbies?
Teyla: Oohhhh I am a cat hunter! I hunt cats and kill them and
use their skulls as jewelry! *Is not!* I also like
experimenting! And drinking.
14) What is your favorite drink?
Teyla: Glad you asked. Anything Orcish, and things that I
shouldn't drink. I will drink anything if it is offered. *Yes
that too* I have been known to drink blood too. Purely
experimental. Or maybe not. *Wouldn't you like to know.* *I know
you can read my mind!*
15) When is your birthday?
Teyla: It is the same time every year. *really?* It's today
actually. *Jerk* It's not.
16) What age did you die?
Teyla: Now that is a deep question. Because as far as I know I
am clearly alive. But we could go existential. I am partial to
those kind of conversations. *Then don't listen!* I would say I
died when I first entered this world….
17) Are you nice or mean?
Teyla: I am absolutely delightful!!! *Except then, but that is
entirely your fault.* *That doesn't count either because I tried
to be nice* I can be mean, in a completely delightful way. *But
I was doing that because they called you a-* *I did that because
they threatened Durr* *That…That I did for fun.* I would say
half and half. I am delightful first but, you won't like me when
I am angry. And yes I can turn big and green to fill that role.
*Oh yes. That was fun too. He called me a liar and deserved it.*
18)What do you think of your creator?
Teyla: Well I never knew my parents. *Oh?* You mean deeper than
that. Like the ultimate creator. Well she is an adorable yet
morbid little human.
19) What is your weakness?
Teyla: I am- *okay, fine* If I told you I would have to kill
you. *That is getting old* {whispers} I am not good with people,
but that is because they are judgy. *I know you can hear me when
I whisper*
20) How long can you stay under water?
Teyla: With a little drink of my home brew I can stay as long as
I want! Which is good because I can't swim very well. *Because I
am tiny and lack upper body strength* *Jerk* I would have
included that in my weaknesses but someone wouldn't let me.
21.) What do you do on a regular day basis?
Teyla: Meditate of course. Dabble in my lab. Go on random
adventures because Durr likes them. Seek out- {rolls eyes} seek
out stuff I am trying to seek out for someone of little note.
And hunt cats.
22.) Do you love someone?
Teyla: Yes.
23.) Does that person love you back?
Teyla: No.
24.) How many languages do you speak?
Teyla: I speak only a few but I have a personal translator who
speaks many many more than me. So I sort of speak most languages
but also very few. Look at me, going all deep again. Just like a
pretty clever elf, because that is what I am. *If you say it
enough, it will be true* *So negative*
25.) Who are your closest friends/allies?
Teyla: Thraxis and Durr are my closest friends. I also have a
few new companions I am adventuring with for Durr's sake. A pink
wizard and a man with a gun. I like guns. *I know he isn't pink
anymore.*
26.) Religion?
Teyla: I worship nature and all the beasties that live within.
Except cats. I hunt cats. *No! I am not afraid of them. Drop it
already.*
27.) Are you afraid of anything?
Teyla: Yes a few things. *I am not afraid of cats, that is why I
hunt them!* Not cats. I hate heights, that one is true. But only
because I haven't created anything that makes me fly yet. It is
in progress though. *Stop it, I am not afraid of that either.
They are just ugly.* What else, maybe gnomes. They are too
small, it seems unnatural. I am small but that is because I am
an adorable elf and we can be tiny. My biggest fear is letting
my friends down. Or losing them. *I meant it*
28.) What's your family or relatives like?
Teyla: Uhhhh. *you don't know that* I don't know them. I never
met my parents nor do I know if anyone in my old tribe was my
kin. I am sure over half of them are somewhat related to me. *No
not him. Don't say that.* I am not the same as my tribe, so I
don't know if I am related to them in any way at all. *that is
just your theory* Okay, well someone very wise thinks that I was
traded as a child to be my tribes Blue. I mean tiny adorable
little dark elf, because that is what I am. *People don't like
dark elves? Huh. But everyone loves elves* Whatever. I guess I
was a trade. I don't blame them though, as an adorable tiny
normal elf, I would have been a hot commodity as a child. I
guess I wasn't all they expected, because they weren't very nice
to me. I ran away a few years ago. After I met Thra- no one of
importance.

Ylersia: {scowls}

Ylersia: Very old, I think.

Ylersia: Thief. Assassin. Dancer.

Ylersia: I did. Murder. I have been cured of that now. And love.
I will be cured of that as well.

Ylersia: Shorter than most. Red hair. Green eyes.

Ylersia: I think my hair was unique in my culture before…before
I became this.

Ylersia: I doubt that. From what I have discovered of my past, I
make poor choices when it comes to men.

Ylersia: Yes. I am an assassin.

Ylersia: Yes. Many.

I've been around for a number of centuries.

I am a broker of knowledge.

I'm either five feet or fifteen feet tall, depends. Mostly
shades of blue.

Sir Jacen Durant
1) What gender are you?
I am a man, despite what these Imperial types think of we
Bretonnians.
2) What is your age?
I am 32 years old.
3) What is your profession?
I still consider myself a Knight Errant of Bretonnia, but it
would be more accurate to say I am aprentacing as a bright
wizard.
4) Do you have any bad habits?
Imperials would say that taking the field against any odds is a
bad habit, but in Bretonnia it is a sign of discipline if you
can pull it off.
5) How tall are you? Hair color? Eyes?
5'10", Brown and brown.
6) Do you have any distinguishing marks?
If we are talking physical, I lost a finger to an orc. I punched
him in the face and he bit off my pinky in return. I also have a
few scars here and there, but so does every Knight.
Clothing however, I wear my heraldry. A white sword pointed
downward flanked by two yellow shields on a red field divided
horizontally by a blue stripe; a yellow cresent moon sits in the
center.
I also carry a sword adorn with iconography of the Lady. A gold
"chalice" for the cross gaurd changes to a silver figure of the
mourning Lady on the pommel. The blade itself is a slight blue,
as though it is water pouring from the grail.
7) Are you a virgin?
Every man must meet his needs in his own way while on the
campaign trail, some take comfort in their brothers at arms,
others go far a field alone for a time, and still others seek
comfort from the peasantry or other lesser things.
What a man does before he is wed is best treated as the follies
of youth, though it doesn't hurt to practice before he meets his
lady.
8 ) Have you killed anyone?
Killed is a broad word. I have taken many lives for many
reasons, and not all of them have the same worth.
I have killed orcs, but that is what they deserve. I have killed
pesants, but that is the kings justice. I have killed bandits,
but that is there fate. I have killed in a duel, but he died
after the fight.
I have never murdered someone, nor do I think I will.
9) Do you hate anyone?
Who could I know that would still be alive to warrant such a
word? In Britonnia, if you feel slighted, you fight. In the end
you either leave knowing your place or not at all.
10) Do you have any secrets?
I can cast spells. This should be impossible.
My family thinks I went off to the Empire to study the weapon of
my enemy, so that I might better understand him. How could we
know that I would learn how to use it myself?
The Fay take all magically gifted children before their third
birthday. They have been know to return those who aren't
actually magical, but I have never heard of them missing one
with the gift.
11) What is your favorite season, and why?
I enjoy the fall, my family would disaprove of why though. On my
Errantry quest I have come to enjoy the peasantries harvest
festivals.
Ah to bask in the Autum glow in the Bordeleaux wine fields
again. Even the wine of the peasants is fit for a king there.
12) Who is your best friend(s)?
As a Nobel this is hard to parse.
I have two brothers and a sister, I have an uncle. I am close to
them as they are family.
I studied under a master at arms, I don't think I've ever known
a man better than the one I sparred with daily since I could
hold a sword.
I've also fought along side many men and watched them die at the
hands of the enemy. A different kind of bond forms between
brothers at arms, but I don't think I would call any of them
friends.
There isn't a lot of time, or room for friendships at court.
Just people you trust and people you love.
13) What are your hobbies?
I am quite parshall to hunting, I've shot many a pheasant and
buck in my time. Sometimes I've even had the pleasure of not
needing to cook it immediately.
14) What is your favorite drink?
If I should ever have to die, let it be with a glass of hot 1536
Bordeleaux Brandy with a dash of spice from Arraby in one hand,
a beautiful girl in the other, on a cool morning in the fall.
15) When is your birthday?
15th of Gilles-Tide (November) in the year of his Majesties rule
1514 (2492 by imperial count).
16) What age did you die?
My Reikshpiel must not be as good as I thought, I am going to
assume you mean that metaphorically.
I would say I first died when I first took a life at 15.
Fighting and training and listening to tales of gallantry do not
really prepare you for the look of a man dieing. Your first
stays with you.
The second time I died was when I was 30. We had lost "Durant
home" in the Border Princes. I truly thought I was going to be
different from all the other so called Princes. Nothing wounds
quite as deeply as ones pride.
17) Are you nice or mean?
I am gallant, loyal, and just, as a Knight should be. Though I
am willing to bend what that means when outside of Bretonnia.
18)What do you think of your creator?
I follow the Lady, though not always as closely as I do now. She
has passed over me and now calls me once more to the Border
Princes, I will go forth and do her will.
19) What is your weakness?
I love a good cheese. Why are you looking at me like that, have
I missunderstood?
20) How long can you stay under water?
I've not had cause to find out.
21.) What do you do on a regular day basis?
In the morning I feed and groom my horse, I then spend two hours
practicing my sword play and mantaining my equipment. From there
the day could lead anywhere.
Currently I spend time studying the book of magic my tutor has
given me and practicing my spellcraft. In my Erranrty days I
would ride between villages and lend my sword to those in need.
22.) Do you love someone?
I've met many a Lady at tourney, but non that has stolen my
heart so fully that I would abandon my Erranrty early.
23.) Does that person love you back?
Who can truley say, I may have left a trail of broken hearts in
every dukedom in Britonnia.
24.) How many languages do you speak?
I speak Bretonnian, Reikshpiel, a little of Tellain and of
Kislev. Kislev comes up more than you would think in the
Princes.
25.) Who are your closest friends/allies?
A Knight by the name of Sir Michelle Petit is the only other
surviving member of the band of Second Sons that went to the
Border Princes. He is as close to me as my brothers, and I would
travel with him again should our paths ever cross.
26.) Religion?
Did you not already ask this, or did you mean my parents before?
27.) Are you afraid of anything?
A true Knight is never afraid.
28.) What's your family or relatives like?
My older brother Lord Yonec Durant V has taken over rule of the
true Durant house. He has a knack for turning his opponents
strengths back upon them, both on and off the field.
My younger sister Lady Perlesault is quite a skilled fighter,
though her birth sword went to our younger brother Sir Waldon
when it was clear she wasn't a boy. She likes riding and hunting
and takes turns at the joust, though father would never have let
her compete.
Sir Waldon is not much one for sword play, he is studying under
our Uncle Sir Theudis to become a Courtier. I am not sure how he
feels about being given his sister's sword, though we never
brought it up to shame him.
