The lunch bell chimed at Juuban as students piled out of their
classes in a hurry to meet up with their friends and hang out.
Kaoru was the only one out of them all walking at a normal pace
down the halls quietly as he reached the doors that led outside.
Unlike everyone else, Kaoru decided to leave campus for lunch.
He wasn't of the proper grade to do it but he needed to get away
from this place. It was summer vacation, yet he was stuck in
summer school with others that had to take makeup courses in
order to bring their grades and GPA up enough to pass onto the
following grade.
The dark-haired boy wasn't happy about the idea of attending
summer school, but he found it better than subjecting himself to
going on the camping trip for two months surrounded by the many
faces of those that ridiculed him and put him down for the idiot
they felt he was. His GPA was considerably low and he needed to
bring it up according to his teachers or he would be held back
if he didn't. He wasn't anywhere near as smart as some of his
classmates or attentive enough to understand what was being
taught to him. He found it all to be boring and tedious, to be
honest.
At one point he might've had the desire to learn and be
interested in this stuff but given the way his life had taken
such a drastic turn, he didn't see a point in it. None of it was
going to help him land a job and no college would accept him
with his low grades. He was probably doomed to forever work at
the Cats Eye Cafe for the rest of his life but at least there,
he had a good boss and good coworkers, though he barely paid any
attention to them, let alone remembered half of their names
despite working alongside them.
The only person he remembers and knows is Millie. Many have
often said he had the attention span of a gnat which was why he
didn't pay much attention to things let alone people around him.
Maybe they were right about that. The things and people he
wanted to pay attention to him, they didn't care about him, they
got angry with him, said nasty things to and about him, it made
just going out the door and being around people to be nothing
more than a pain. It's why he stopped trying to be friends with
"people". They couldn't be trusted. He was starting to feel the
same way with non-human beings too.
The one he truly loved and wanted more than anything didn't want
him and never did. Kaoru didn't stop walking until he was far
away from campus. So far that he'd found himself not far from
the lake that was close by. The very same lake which he recalled
ever smiling. With everyone in school around this time, the lake
was going to be vacant until later in the afternoon. Despite how
he felt inside, he strolled in the direction of the known
secluded and private lake. He took his time going down the hill
to avoid falling and breaking his neck. The last thing he wanted
was anyone chastising him about avoiding injuring himself.
Reaching the very bottom, he stood under a tall tree. The same
tree he and Teivel sat underneath where the pureblood vampire
broke off their relationship for good. He balled his hands into
fists with an angry expression on his face as the conversation
from that day came flooding back to him. He was hoping for a
real day out with the pureblood vampire that didn't involve
either of them being put in danger but instead, he was only
there to have his heart shattered by being told that he didn't
love him, that he had to move on with his life, and that another
vampire named Angela said that if the two of them stayed
together, Kaoru would eventually be killed.
Them being apart would make his life safer as well as the people
that cared for them. What people? Kaoru had no one to care about
him. Everyone hated him, often stated their dislike of "people
like him". Teivel didn't have any idea what he was talking
about, nor did Angela. There was no one out there that wanted to
love him. He wanted Teivel to love him and only Teivel and he
couldn't even have that! He deserved that! He almost died for
him and to have to remember everything that happened only to
have it all snatched away, it wasn't fair at all!
Kaoru dropped his school bag on the ground as he punched the
tree out of anger and frustration. 'I loved you, Teivel-san ...
I loved you so much! Why ... why couldn't you see that!? Why!? I
don't want anyone else but you ... I just ... I just don't ...'
He could feel the tears began to fall down the sides of his
face, trying his best to suppress the urge to sob
uncontrollably. He wanted a life of happiness, he deserved of
life of happiness. He wanted that life with Teivel. But he was
gone now and it hurt. It hurt so much to deal with the pain of
being tossed to the side and left feeling empty. Despite how he
was feeling no one gave a damn nor ever will.

Tsubasa stretches slightly with a warm groan having been
wandering around the park, taking in the sights of the natural
wonder. Tilting his head as he stops catching sight of Kaoru out
of the corner of his eye, a finger resting on his left cheek as
the has a moment of thought. "mmm, they look familiar and seem
to having problems, what should I do?" Tsubasa thinks to himself
for a moment. Taking in a deep breath Tsubasa approaches Kaoru
with a bright smile. "Hey you okay?," he asks unsure if it was a
good idea but figuring it shouldn't hurt.

(OOC: Yeah, he's at the lake where it's more private, not the
park. Just to clarify.)
The moment Kaoru's hands had begun to hurt is when he'd stopped
punching the tree. Instead he just sank down to the ground on
his knees with his head lowered and the tears had began to spill
down the sides of his face. He was filled with so much despair
that he didn't know how to deal with it. He wasn't used to
feeling this way. He was used to being so happy, so carefree,
and yet ... it seems as if such a person never existed only to
be left feeling like an emotional husk of the person he used to
be. Kaoru was a wreck. It sucked having to take anti-depressants
and being forced to acknowledge that everything that happened to
him was his own fault. Forced to remember the people that
treated him cruelly or ignored him. And forced ... to always
remember being in love with Teivel. Sniffling, he used the
sleeve of his uniform jacket to dry his face but tears continued
to fall.
All that surrounded him now was nothing more than the sounds of
the water from the lake and the birds that chirped. No one else
was here but him. Well, originally no one but himself was there.
The voice of another person briefly distracted Kaoru from his
thoughts as he slowly turned his head in the direction of the
one that spoke to him. A blonde haired individual that while
they appeared to look like a girl because of how they dressed,
the Adam's apple was a dead giveaway to indicate that this
person was indeed a boy. He didn't know why, but this annoyed
him and he immediately turned his head to look away from him
while narrowing his eyes. "Go away," he replied.
