Newfound Trust [SousukexUsegi]

What started as a quiet day for Usegi, turned into what he would
call a headache by the end of the day. That's counting when he
has homework to do. He would usually go to the arcade to avoid
doing it for a while. It was not the case today. Today had to be
one of those weird days when something strange had to happen. In
this case, a youma creature had infiltrated Juuban and attempted
to attack one of the teachers. Not just any teacher mind you,
but his teacher, Leiko Sousuke.
The blonde still hadn't gotten the hang of using his powers to
fight these things. Most of the time, they were way too strong
for him to fight, and Ling would always have to help him so that
he could deliver the final blow. But she wasn't here to do that.
She had to watch the magic shop today, so he was stuck dealing
with this matter on this own. With also the worst teacher ever
in the line of worst teachers! That is how he felt anyway.
He had hidden away to transform and fight, but because he was
still in training, the creature got the better of him no matter
how many times he attempted to attack it. It cackled evilly
while firing its attacks at both him and his teacher. Luckily,
Usegi's quick thinking to push his teacher out of the way saved
him for the time being. Holding out his left hand, he narrowed
his eyes as he called out a defensive move of his to protect
them both from the creature's attack. "Full Moon Shield!"
The youma's attack crashed against Usegi's shield as he kept his
hand held out to continue to block it. "Get out of here now!" he
told his teacher. He didn't want the guilt of someone getting
hurt on his mind. Even if it wasn't a teacher he didn't
particularly favor, Usegi knew it was his duty as a Knight to
protect those that couldn't protect themselves.

Sousuke seeing the monster frowns slightly unsure what to make
of it at least until it started attacking constantly stepping
back putting distance and objects between him and it. Seeing a
person similar to one of his students appear and push him out
of the way of a attack. Sousuke's body soaked through with sweat
from barely avoiding the attacks prior, catching his breath
while seeing the boy guarding him with strange powers that
make no sense. " What in the heavens is going on?" is the only
thing Sousuke managed to say before nodding when told to run.
Instead of abandoning Usegi, during one of the youma's attacks
in a effort to at least assist the hero his hands find their way
onto a fire extinguisher. Throwing it behind him into the
youma's onslaught before moving further away from Usegi.
Sousuke's nerves running on frayed ends by that point had Usegi
not appeared when he did panic would have set in and death would
have followed. Yet despite moving farther away the uncanny
appearance of the mysterious hero to his student did give
Sousuke pause staying within eye sight.

The youma screamed when the fire extinguisher exploded into its
attack, which caused it to fall back against the floor, trying
to scrape the mess off of its body. Usegi noticed this, blinking
in surprise while wondering where the heck that came from. "Ah
... huh ..." Despite his confusion, he knew if he'd wasted any
time standing here, the creature would have a chance to attack
again. While it was distracted, he decided to go for the
finishing attack.
Thankfully, the halls were clear. No one else was around. Usegi
didn't see his teacher anywhere so he wouldn't get hurt in the
middle of all this. He exhaled slowly, concentrating as he'd
never used this power before to destroy a youma and didn't know
if it was going to work. But he had to do something to get rid
of it. The look on his face was stern as he didn't take his eyes
off the creature as he'd began preparing his attack. "Power of
the Moon! Let it Shine! My Moonlight Purification Wave!"
As he said this, his power began encircling his body while
taking the form of small flower petals. The youma noticed this
and was confused by what was happening. It'd been suspended into
the air all of a sudden. Usegi poured all of his strength and
power into the attack as the petals burst into a flash of light
that surrounded the creature's entire body and painfully
purifying it. Since it wasn't someone under the control of dark
power, the youma had dropped down onto the floor and was left
disfigured, yet hissing in anger.
"How ... How dare you, boy!" it shouted angrily, charging
towards the blonde.
"Damn it ... no," Usegi swore softly, that attack had drained
him completely to where he'd fallen to his knees, weakened. He
was unable to use that attack more than once. That was because
he was still learning how to use it. He was hoping it would've
killed the youma, but it had not. Despite it being disfigured,
it still had the strength enough to attack while Usegi was left
weakened. His Knight attire had worn off because of it, and he
was now back into his school uniform while being held up in the
air by his neck.
"Aw, did your powers wear off brat? That's what you get! And now
... time to pay you back in kind for what you did to me!" the
creature threatened the blonde.

Sousuke's face pale considerably seeing Usegi unable to win, but
his complexion become almost ghost like seeing Usegi once the
transformation wore off. Unsure what to do the would be hero was
also his student with a deep swallow and a heavy sigh the
strict teacher rushes the youma."Let go of my student vile
beast!" Sousuke lets out a roar. Lowering his body during his
rush so his shoulder would slam into the youma's side in a vain
attempt to free Usegi.
His other hand reached out to grab Usegi's arm, the vain hope of
disturbing the youma enough to free his would be hero and
student and flee in the confusion with him in tow. "If this
doesn't work we both are in trouble, must stay focused save
Usegi nothing else matters," was the only thoughts running
through Sousuke's mind right then it was holding back the
despair and panic at least for now.

The youma didn't have the chance to attack Usegi as its original
target stopped him. The man who's energy it'd been ordered to
take in the first place. Having been pushed back, the creature
lost its grip on the boy and dropped him while skidding backward
across the floor. Usegi had thankfully been released but left
unconscious in the arms of his teacher. The youma growled in
frustration, forming its disfigured hand into razor-sharp claws.
"How annoying! I'm going to kill both of you right now! My
master's orders be damned!"

Sousuke takes in a deep breath pulling Usegi in close to his
chest, with his knowledge of the school he quickly ducks into a
classroom and moves through it quickly coming out at the next
door down. Holding tightly to Usegi not looking back to see
where the monster was he darts into various classrooms cutting
across hallways. Skidding to a stop looking down at Usegi to
determine if he was still unconscious, quickly opening a door
and slipping inside following the hall briefly before carefully
entering a mostly empty office save a few desks and chairs.
Panting heavily side in pain from carrying Usegi and running
like a madman, gently settling Usegi on top of a large teachers
desk while sliding down against the door in a heap.

While the creature attempted to chase after Sousuke who was also
carrying Usegi, it'd ended up losing him as the man seemed fast
enough to evade it. It was not pleased with this and had no
qualms about leaving large claw marks on the walls while trying
to find where the man had gone. "You can't hide forever! I will
find you!" it shouted.
In the meantime, Usegi was out like a light, at least for a good
five minutes. He'd fallen asleep from having used all of his
powers in that last attack as the soft sounds of snoring could
be heard coming from him. That is until he'd ended up turning
too far on his side, fell off the desk, and collided with the
floor. The fall was enough to wake him out of his sleep, wincing
as he pushed himself to sit up straight. "I-Itai ... nghn ...
where am I?" he mumbled in question as he'd began looking around
to try and figure that out.

Sousuke looks up and gives a grimace seeing Usegi fall off the
desk, his own body sweating heavily and almost completely out of
gas. Letting out a slight pants before sitting up from his
hunched state his normal suit in a complete mess parts ripped
open having avoided the attacks but the feedback from them had
still torn up spots of his clothing. "Your in a empty teachers
office, keep it down Tsukishino," he says his tone stern though
his voice wasn't raised it clearly was a bit ragged. Looking
over at Usegi before getting up and walking over to him looking
down at it for a brief moment before stooping down to look over
the boy for any injuries beyond bruised pride and a bump from
his desk tumble.
"I Don't know what is going on or what that thing was, explain
if you will Usegi-kun," Sousuke says before sitting down next to
the boy. Letting out a small sigh "Still we may not be out of
the woods just yet, but for now we are safe," Sousuke says
glancing at the door while intently listening for sounds of
movement.

Hearing the voice of his teacher allowed Usegi to remember that
he'd been protecting the man from that youma. However, he'd
believed he'd gotten away and not still within the school. He'd
also realized that he wasn't in his Knight attire anymore which
he assumed to be out of the woods and that maybe the man hadn't
seen him transform out of it. Once his focus was back, he sat up
completely straight, bringing his legs up close to his chest as
he thought he could get away with pretending that he didn't know
anything. "I ... I don't know what you want me to say, Leiko
Sensei. I have no idea what's going on," he lied, unable to look
his teacher in the eye as he said this.

Sousuke frowns slightly when Usegi tries to blatantly lie to him
"If your going to just lie to me why bother answering,"he says
in response having clearly seen everything take place from start
to finish. Putting a hand on his forehead and shaking his head
slightly "Not that is matters, at least you do have talent in
something other than being the worst student I have ever had,
take it for what its worth thank you for trying to save me,"
Sousuke says his stern tone still there but his inflection much
softer giving Usegi a warm smile. Sousuke continues to glance at
the rooms door, still quite on edge half expecting the monsters
to burst in at any moment.
