Author Unknown - Those Who Harp

“What’s a Harper? A good question, aye – and like most good
questions, it has a lot of right answers. As many, in fact, as
there are Harpers… and if that’s too cute of an observation for
your liking, then you have my condolences. A mind so closed can
only find life a small, sad cage.” –Unknown
The Harpers are difficult to describe – we are men and women
that above all, wish to see the realm and beings free to live
happy and fulfilling lives. We fight against tyranny, the
oppressors, and anyone wanting to harm or otherwise restrict
someone’s freedom or right to choose their own path without
fear. We believe in balance in all; between powers of the realm,
reaches of the cities, the wilder lands, and the influence of
       one over the other.
We are ever watchful, seeking times and places to make sure the
realms are better and more peaceful place for all to enjoy. Many
know of us, but many know little of who we are, what we do, and
how we do it – this allows us freedom to fight in places and in
ways that an army or a clergy cannot.
And truth be told – each Harper is tasked with watchwords,
ethics, and guidelines and follows the same path, but otherwise
they are their own person and will see fit to do the highest
good for all in the best way they are able. The person next to
you could be a Harper, from king to commoner.
How do you join? You can visit Twilight Hall in Berdusk – though
visit the Running Stag Inn first to rest your eyes and mind, for
you have a long journey ahead of you. It’s possible you might
run into one of us as well… and you may be tested and found
worthy to Harp the Silver Strings.
Whether you wish to join or not – always remember, we will be
       watching.
