Aand shivered. He had to get the sound
barriers offline. He knew he could do it, he just had to get
back to the bridge. He wasn't sure why, but he knew it was
imperative, and that Duck herself would be fine. He rushed
ahead, and burst back onto the bridge. The others looked at him
curiously, but he ignored them, and got the the control panel as
quickly as possible. He quickly remembered to comm Belle, and
then informed the captain hurriedly. The captain was about to
say something, but Aang had to tell him. "I'm sorry, but I
believe for the safety for our crew and everyone aboard this
ship, we have to lift the sound barrier." He knew he was
supposed to wait for the allowance, but he also knew that this
was vital. He wasn't sure why, and he knew he could be confined
to quarters after this, but he didn't care. He had to save
everyone. He clicked a few buttons at the helm, brought the
barriers down, and locked the control to put them back up. It
couldn't happen, or the ship would be destroyed.

The song become louder. The music began to fill her soul. She
could fill her body vibrating in time to the haunting music. In
a daze, she climbed off the table and once more began to dance.
She could feel the connection reestablishing itself. "Everything
will be okay,"

Aang felt relieved, soothed, and felt like
everything was going to be okay. For some reason, he felt his
job was done. It was... her job. He wasn't quite sure who the
"her" was, but she would do it, and save everyone, as well as
the creature flying in front of the ship. He felt the rough arms
of security officers, telling him they were to escort him to his
quarters, and Lucy, the first officer was saying some commands.

Duck sat up, and John was relieved.
"Lieutenant," he said softly, "You have to go to your quarters
and get some rest now." Duck blinked, and she looked toward him,
as if she saw him, but couldn't hear what he was saying. She
slowly, and gracefully stood up, and with long, delicate
strides, her feathers rustling, almost in beat with the music
that had started singing through the ship again, and with a
small smile, she made her way to the door and left. He called to
his medical officers, "Could someone make sure she goes to her
quarters?" A couple nodded and took off after her.
