She smiled at his offer. "I was just thinking the same thing..."
working in the kitchen was never fun by herself in fact, it was
the worst part of her day. It would be nice to have a friend to
talk to during the night.

When the clothes had stayed in the boiling water long enough,
Belle removed the articles one by one and loaded them back into
the basket. Quickly, she brought them over to the washing board
and scrubbed the clothing, effectively ignoring the two talking
by the sink. She just wanted to finish her work so that she
could get to sleep. She had a feeling that tomorrow would be a
really big day.

When Link and Tiana finished the dishes, he walked her to her
door and said goodnight. As he walked away, he passed by a house
with roses growing outside...the same roses he had seen Padme
planting earlier. He peered through the glowing window in time
to see her walk past him and into her kitchen. He thought back
to what Dean had said. If he was ever going to find out more
about her, he had to take a leap of faith... so he braced
himself and knocked on the door.

Tiana being extremely exhausted waved goodnight to Link and
headed straight for her dorm instantly hitting the bed and
falling asleep within seconds.
Dean was leaving the library after doing some late night reading
and noticed Link was knocking on Padme's door!! He hid from
around the corner to see how his best friend would do talking to
this girl.

Padme answered the door, slightly tired from the day's
activities. When she saw the blonde-haired boy from before, she
lifted an eyebrow. He looked nervous, and his whole face was
red. "May I help you?" she asked politely.
"I need to speak with you. May I please come in?" Link was
trying, and failing, to keep his cool.
Padme opened the door slowly, and let him in. She caught
movement outside her window, but immediately dissmissed it. She
was sure it was an animal or something. As Link walked in, she
shut the door and walked to the kitched. "Can I get you
something to drink?"
He nodded. "Water, please."
She walked over to the sink and filled up a glass, then invited
him to sit on the couch by the fire. "So, what is it you need to
talk to me about? Is everything okay?"
He tried to laugh, but it came out as a nervous giggle. "Yes,
everything is fine. I just..." He looked out her window and saw
Dean. How did he know Link was here!?!?!? The blonde-haired boy
froze, then shook his head. "I...I..."
Padme raised her eyebrow again. What was wrong with the poor
boy? It looked like he'd seen a ghost.
"I..well...was wondering, like, if...maybe...you'd care
to...uh... TAKE A WALK WITH ME?" he shouted the last part out of
nervousness. Padme giggled.
"Well...sure? Okay, when and where?"
Link swallowed hard. Hadn't thought that far into his plan.
But...she had said yes. A bit of his nerves faded.
"Umm...how about tomorrow? Around lunch? We could bring food,
and like...picnic or something...?"
Padme gave him a warm smile. "Sure," she replied.
Link smiled back. "I'll see what I can snatch from the kitchen
when no one is looking." He winked. "Well, better go, bye!"
and with that he was out the door, but not before glancing at
Dean, who was reading his face and giving him a thumbs up. As
Link ran out the door, he shot Dean a look. When they were a
good distance away from Padme's house, Link turned on him. "What
were you doing? How did you find me?"

Edmund was quite cross. He didn't like the way the servant girl
talked to him. Not one bit. And with witnesses around, no less.
He had no intention of his authority being slandered by a maid
because if she got away with it, everyone else would think the
same thing.
So Edmund smirked and got to work. He may not be the most
learned prince, but he was the most cunning. He was going to
make her pay for talking to him that way, but first he had to
talk to his father.

Padme smiled to herself as Link left her vision. She sat down on
her couch and rested her head back. So, perhaps she was wrong
about Link crushing on Belle. But who knew? Maybe he had asked
her to talk with him privately to get more information on Belle.
Either way, she was starting to like the blonde-haired
troublemaker. As she rested, her mind drifted, and soon she was
fast asleep.
Link crossed his arms and tapped his foot, waiting for Dean to
explain himself.
