This is a summary of the story up to approximately the point
that it has been written to, and will be updated by Moderators
when they get the chance:
Summary:
Chapter 1:
Day 1: Tuesday
The Knights are a rag-tag group of friends that spread
throughout all the grades at Webster High. Merida is one of the
founders. She also has to deal with her sister Zelda who is
heading for college, and her younger triplet brothers. Suffice
it to say, it's hard to get a moment of quiet. One night, she is
watching her favorite show Merlin when she texts her friends
about the next meeting. It doesn't take long for Lucy and Edmund
Pevensie to respond to her call. Nor does it take long for their
friend Link to respond while he moons over his long love Zelda
while she prepares to start attending college.
The only member of their gang that doesn't get the message is
Fakir, who spends all of his time at the pond in his back yard
with a little duck he calls Ente.
Chapter 2:
That night they read a story he had written about a Demon King
and a band of Brave Knights.
Though, he doesn't know that with the aid of a flower, she can
turn into a girl named Duck, a person that Fakir doesn't get
along with very well. The next day he gets caught by Merida and,
in a burst of irritability, offers his back yard for their next
meeting.
Day 2: Wednesday
In the meantime, Link has driven out to Zelda's college, at her
behest, and they confessed to each other. The only person that
knows is one of Zelda's classmates, Belle, who watched from afar
as a small misunderstanding was patched up between the two.
Lucy proposes the idea of having an individual name for the
little group of 'Knights' which everyone is taken with. They
plan on having training at Fakir's.
Duck informs Lucy that her meeting with Tomoyo (a girl from
Duck's work) has been postponed. But they all meet out front
preparing for Knight training. Duck ends up coming along.
However, it starts raining, and training is postponed.
Day 3: Thursday
Zelda and Link share texts and revel in their new romance.
While at Webster Academy there is a new student, Padme. Her mom
is an ER nurse and she was kicked out of her previous school for
fighting.
At lunch that day, the Knights and their newest member (Duck)
are eating togeher. Discussing training and a new name. Merida
is still upset with Link for him bailing and Duck is nervous
around Fakir and the idea of going to their pond in her human
form.
Edmund sees Padame at a near by table and talks to her.
Merida and Fakir get into a friendly banter that Merida wins,
with the promise of retreaving a little black book of his where
he keeps all his stories.
Belle and Zelda meet up again. They talk and hang out. It ends
with Zelda inviting Belle to join her for the weekend in her
excursion home.
After school the group prepares to go to training. Edmund
invites Padmae. They all start a race, but Padmae is offened by
Edmund's 'man-handling' of her and opts out.
They head to Merida's to get the weapons.
Chapter 3:
The group follows Merida to where her weapons are stored, and
are then head over to Fakir’s house to start training.
Meanwhile, Zelda is on her way home (with Belle), but wants her
visit to be a surprise to Link and his friends, and is worried
about telling Link about her incident with Groose.
Duck is nervous about being at Fakir’s house and the pond in her
human form, and is having a terrible time fighting. Zelda, after
arriving on the scene of battle, tackles her sister and gets her
to agree with a 10 minute break, in which Zelda tells Link that
Groose had kissed her, but she had pushed him away, and Link
accepts her explanation gracefully. Everyone finds their
relationship blatantly obvious.
Belle and Zelda get to talking, and Zelda finds out that Belle
likes the shooting range.
The 10 minute break ends, and practice continues with Merida
announcing a Battle Royal, with her and Link the leaders of each
team. Merida ends up with Duck and Edmund, while Link has Lucy
and Fakir. Merida tells Duck to sneak into their “territory.”
Edmund is told to be the “blazing onslaught” and keep them busy,
while Merida herself plans to take out the other team members.
Lucy instructs her team to stay hidden, and to lure the other
team out.
When the battle begins, Edmund and Fakir immediately begin a
sword duel. Duck manages to snatch a dark cloak off the table
and hide in the trees. Merida corners Link in the pond, pinning
him in place with arrows. We find out that Padme is hiding in
the bushes of the battle scene, watching.
Zelda, back at the house, tells the twins to order the pizza and
leaves to go check out the knight training, taking Belle with
her. When Zelda arrives, she uses her own arrow to get Merida
off Link, at which Link leaps up and pins Merida.
Sherlock and John are walking down the street, when Sherlock
hears the training. He immediately climbs over the fence to
watch, his appearance caues even more chaos.
Fakir gets distracted by the person jumping into his yard, and
then Duck falls on top of his head, out of the tree she’d been
hiding in. Merida calls a halt to the battle. John, worried
about Sherlock’s arrogance, climbs into the yard himself to
hopefully help and apologize, as Sherlock announces that he
wants to join the Knight’s training group.
Merida exaggerates the conditions of being a knight because she
is annoyed at them, and says that there will be tests. Sherlock
asks for guns, and John agrees.
Padme steps out of the bushes and announces that she would also
like to join. John gets nervous as Padme shows a liking for him,
hoping not to hurt her feelings later on. Everyone is left
trying to decide how to test Sherlock’s and John’s moral
character.
Chapter 4:
Merida asks Link to come over for dinner, something more
threatening in her eyes than her question and Link agrees
nervously.
Hermione is playing videogames at her house until it's
dinnertime and her cat, Crookshanks follows her.
Sherlock starts getting annoyed, and is allowed to leave, with a
warning from Fakir about his tasks.
Aang plays with Mo-mo, giving him fruit.
Sherlock rolls his eyes at Fakir and mutters adopted. Fakir gets
defensive, and Sherlock explains about his painful past, his
murdered parents and his sworn retribution. He then gets a punch
in the face from Fakir and a kick as he lies on the ground. John
keeps him from hurting him anymore, and then yells at Sherlock
for being so cruel and idiotic. However, Sherlock surprise
apologizes, which pretty much never happens.
Padme gives Sherlock a cold compress for his cheek.
John tries to explain Sherlock to Fakir and
apologizes again and Fakir feels he might understand.
Padme leaves, feeling watched. John and Belle become
aquainted, and Sherlock and John leave shortly afterwards.
Little boy Dean runs up to Padme, and Darien, a young,
single father, comes to collect him. Padme is kind to Dean, and
Darien and Padme meet. They take a liking to each other, and
Padme gives him her number and they take leave of each other,
flustered but happy.
Everyone gathers up the weapons, and they pile into the
two cars to give rides to others and Merida to make her way back
to her own house.
Day 4: Friday
Edmund tries to get Lucy out of the bathroom for school while
thinking about the nightly stay at Merida's that night.
Link and Zelda had declared their relationship to Zelda's
approving parents the night before and Merida had teased them
endlessly.
Duck has a nightmare about a demon king killing everyone she
loves.
Zelda discovers Link was still there. Zelda manages to convince
her mother that Link had just come over for the morning for
breakfast.
Sherlock wakes John, who has slept in while Hermione and Aang
get ready for school, both heading early as usual.
John is upset and annoyed Sherlock is there and has to keep him
hidden while John gets ready for school hastily to avoid being
late.
Padme sees Aang and Hermione in the library while Aang invites
Hermione to his house after school with Crookshanks.
As Link and Zelda discuss, Zelda brings up Link's father, and he
says he's drunk and quickly changes the subject.
They have a slight misunderstanding, but then Zelda takes Link
to her room and gives him a sword necklace she made
Sherlock and John run off to class to try to make it in time
Hermione and Aang head off to class, and Aang sits down next to
Duck.
Link heads off to class, and Zelda hurriedly yells at Merida to
get up, and that she will drive her to school.
Sherlock and John run to school, where they run into Zelda.
Zelda gets John a pass to class, while Sherlock takes the brunt
of being late and getting a detention. Sherlock and John have a
bit of tension after that.
Aang listens to Duck and Merida talk about knights and when he
approaches they both turn to him.
Padme leaves early and Link battles through the day, which he
feels is dragging.
Last Post up to this point: (Ch. 4 pg. 9)
Padme left school early, unable to keep her thoughts straight.
When she got home, she saw that her mother wasn't home yet and
took the liberty of making a snack and some dinner that her mom
would reheat when she got off her shift. Instead of eating
alone, she decided it would be best to go out somewhere, and
wrapped her food picnic style. Upon wandering around in the new
town, she found a delightful looking park where some children
were playing, and decided to have her afternoon snack on a bench
nearby.
Link itched in his seat, willing the bell to ring. He HATED
math, and his teacher was such a bore... "Only a few more
periods..." he muttered to himself.
