Wild Roses: Story Summary

This is a summary of the story up to approximately the point
that it has been written to, and will be updated by Moderators
when they get the chance:
Summary:
Chapter 1:
Padme is a gardener in the royal palace and the queen has let
her plant roses. This one simple act sends many things in
motion. She meets the young maid, Belle, and finds that they
have many things in common, then a bloke by the name of Link
falls from a tree. He says that he was looking for fruit, but in
reality, he was spying on Padme, whom he has a crush on. Belle
can see his attraction to the gardener immediately and gives him
advice slightly contrary to what he gets from his friend Dean.
Padme sees them talking and Link's blushing, and guesses that he
likes Belle. She supposes that it's going to be a wonderful
show.
Meanwhile, Prince Edmund is hiding in a bush, watching the
goings on when Link runs right into him. He becomes angry and
threatens him. When he turns around he sees Belle standing
there. They exchange words, words that Edmund really does not
like, so he plots revenge. No one makes a fool of royalty and
gets away with it. XD
Belle retires to the kitchen, where she does the last of the
laundry before going to bed. Link and Tiana, however, have a
lovely conversation while they wash dishes. Afterward, Link
splits off and knocks on Padme's door, though he didn't expect
Dean to be in the audience. While inside, Link and Padme made
plans for a picnic lunch. When Link emerges, it's only too easy
for Dean to tease him. The next day goes well for Link and
Padme. They talk and laugh and loose track of time, only to end
it with a small kiss. Dean's day was also quite good, seeing as
he asked Tiana out on a date.
Belle, however, is in the middle of a crappy day wheren she is
transferred to being the prince's personal maid and has to clear
his room of vermine throughout the entire day.
Dean and Tiana's date didn't go as planned because she had
gotten caught up at work.
Chapter 2:
This made Dean feel as if he had been stood up, and when Tiana
tries to apologize to him, he is quite rude. Tiana runs to the
garden and sits by Padme's rose bush to cry a little. Belle
finds her in this state and talks to her, wishing bad luck upon
Dean for his actions all the while.
On the other hand, Link is present when Dean hurtfully disses
Tiana and guilt trips him. He convinces Dean to go after Tiana
and talk with her. Dean leaves their room and spends the night
on Tiana's doorstep. Tiana, however, spent the night with her
friend, not knowing that Dean was outside her home till the next
morning when Link made him out to be suicidal, at least, that's
the way Tiana took it as she ran from the kitchen.
In other news, Edmund the prat strikes again when he orders
Belle to clean his rooms for the upteenth time that day. Belle
flat out refuses because she had to help prepare for the ball
that was being held in the princes honor the next evening. He
gets revenge by covering his room with his clothes for Belle to
clean up when she returns to his rooms the next morning with his
dress clothes.
While she's cleaning, Edmund is hanging around Lucy while the
dress makers fit her into her red dress, which Lucy informs her
brother is one half of a matching set. The news does not go over
well with the prince, but when she gets angry at him for almost
squishing the flowers that Padme pinned on him, he decides to
change his tune. He dresses in the red clothing and attends the
ball as such.
At the ball, Duck is waiting with other hopefuls looking for
employment, and begins to get discouraged, but is brought back
by one of the other hopefuls. Tiana is working the refreshments
table when Belle approaches, offering her services. Tiana
politely turns her down, and the maid walks away. Shortly after,
Dean asks Tiana to honor him with a dance. Lucy complements, and
scolds, Edmund as they lead the first dance.
In less happy news, Link and Padme are at Padme's house, and
immediately, a stranger approaches and hands Padme a letter. The
note that Padme received said that the thorns on the prince and
princess's outfits are poisonness and Tiana was pricked by one
while dancing with Dean. Padme leaves Link to go to the ball and
search out Tiana and finds her as she exits the dancefloor.
Chapter 3:
*Meanwhile, Edmund asks Belle to dance and she accepts
reluctantly. While they are dancing, Lucy meets Duck and employs
her as a personal maid. As a thank you for her service, Lucy
gives Duck a flower, but Duck pricks her finger and the poison
that was on the thorn enters her bloodstream.
Padme approaches Edmund and tells him that the flowers are
poisoned, then she hears Dean shout and learns that Tiana was
also poisoned. Dean attempted to suck the poison out.
Belle, noticing that the issue was only going to escalate if
something wasn't done soon, got up on the dias and ordered
everyone out. They obliged easily once they learned that poison
was involved. Belle gathered all the flowers in her dress
carefully. Lucy took the flowers from her and gathered some of
the poison in a vial before throwing the flowers on the fire.
Off to the side, Fakir was watching and decided to try and help.
He touched Duck, intending to try to help, and a tingling
sensation entered his being and the girl was cured. Padme saw
and convinced him to cure Tiana as well.
Scared, Padme decided to run away, and Link wanted to go with
her, so they left the room quickly. Once they are found to be
gone, Lucy tells Merida to find them. The archer got carried
away and shot an arrow into Padme's leg. Tiana and Dean arrived
and offered to carry her to the princess, but first the
brunette, who had passed out due to blood loss, was patched up.
Link found out and found them, not happy.
While this was going on, Edmund and Lucy were fighting about how
to best handle the situation. After seeing Padme's situation,
Edmund agrees to let her rest and get properly patched up before
asking her questions. He and Lucy leave to get into more
convenient clothing, while Fakir gets Belle to attend to Duck.
Dean and Tiana clean and dress Padme's wound while Link looks
on, worried. When the prince enters with his sword at his side,
Link moves into a protective position.
Chapter 4:
Sherlock and John arrive, excited to start an interesting
investigation. At first they are a novility, but Sherlock
quickly becomes annoying. Though he is attempting to prove
Padme's innocence. Hermione begins to follow and observe.
Meanwhile, Belle and Meridian stay with Duck as she orients
herself and answers their curious questions.
Aladdin has a hidden agenda against the royals. He returns to
his master with news of his failure and is given Tinkerbell as
an accomplice.
Aang is on a secret mission that Appa tags along on. He's a
theif.
Tinkerers attempts to trick Lucy.
Edmund returns to his sister's side and sends Hermione to check
on the king and queen.
Belle goes to find the princess. Aang, inside of the King and
Queen's treasure vault, demands Aladdin to show himself.
Chapter 5:
Hermione finds out from the King and Queen that there is an
apparently unorganized invasion of the kingdom, and Hermione
tells the King and Queen of the investigation into the poison.
Sherlock announces that he has what he needs for his
investigation, and is ready to make a trip back to his home to
analyze the evidence in his lab.
The princess puts the castle under a "Lockdown" no one in or out
except them, and Princess Lucy is taken by Belle to see Duck.
Merida offers Duck to stay with her at the castle and that she'd
find a job for her.
Moriarty has Jack Frost captive, and sends him off to go "play"
with Sherlock and John
Merida goes to talk to the King and Queen while Jack Frost flies
off to find Sherlock for Moriarty.
Cecelia has a servant fetch Edmund to tell him about the
betrothal
In the treasure vault, Aladdin bolts for the door
Merida tells King Darien that she believes she is there for new
orders, and to give them an account of the last night's events.
Aladdin escapes Aang, and alarm bells go off, and Aang is
caught, believed to be the thief at the vault.
Merida proceeds to tell the King and Queen about the
investigation. Lucy gets Duck ready for a briefing. Jack finds
Sherlock in a carriage along the road, forming plans about how
to carry out Moriarty's orders
Aang summons Appa to rescue him. Aang finds Aladdin, He grabs
him, and under cover of darkness, leaps onto one of the castle
towers. Aang then blind-fold and ties Aladdin to Appa's harness,
and orders Appa to head in the direction of the base camp of the
White Lotus, while he fetches his staff/glider. Aang fetches it,
and flies back to Appa, but Tink had rescued Aladdin in the mean
time. Appa helps Aang locate them, however
Appa saves Aang, and Aang continues to hunt for Aladdin, bending
a cloud around them to keep them hidden.
At his "lab" at his house, Sherlock identifies the hair from the
crime scene as a monkey's hair, announcing they would be looking
for the monkey and his master.
Padme finds Abu, who is left alone after Aladdin was captured.
Sherlock and John go back to the castle, where Sherlock sees
Padme with Abu, and declares he would be the monkey who would
have done the handy work, the hairs perfectly matching. Sherlock
declares he identified the poison coming from an Aggra-ban
viper, and saying they were looking for a middle-eastern man,
who would be the owner of the monkey. He then shows a sheet,
having gotten samples of the fingerprints from the antidote
vile.
Tink transforms into a middle-eastern woman, and finds Abu.
Sherlock gives a silent, discreet signal to John, who
understands him. John asks the woman (Tink) to accompany him
into the castle, saying the monkey must be hungry, and he
wouldn't mind food himself, winking at her. Tink, however,
skillfully refuses. John gestures to one of the other guards,
who comes over to him, and John calls out for Tink to wait. At
the same moment, John and Hermione (the guard) attack, tackling
Tink, who promptly vanishes, taking Abu with her. Her and
Aladdin then conspire, and Aladdin smiles at the question of
poison.
Aang captures Aladdin once more, determined he would not escape
this time.
Hermione detects where Tink had "apparated" to, and getting
slightly away from the others, she apparated, to where she finds
Abu running through the forest. Unfortunately, she had only
caught snippets of the conversation between Sherlock, John and
Padme and therefore does not know the significance of Abu, but
has an inkling of why he would be important
Sherlock decides to get samples of Padme's fingerprints, since
the culprit escaped. When he compares them, there is no match,
proving Padme's innocence.
Last Post up to this point: (Ch. 5, pg. 5)
Sherlock whipped the sample out of his pocket, and compared the
two sets of fingerprints. "No match," he said, with some grim
satisfaction, despite the suspect's escape.
