Hermione ran into a monkey. She narrowed her
eyes. As far as she knew, monkey's were not native to this part
of the world. "Hello," she said to the monkey, looking up at her
with frightened eyes. She felt this monkey was very important.
It had had something to do with the poison, but she hadn't heard
much of the other's conversation, because she'd been a touch too
far away, just little snippets. "Do you want to come with me?"
she asked kindly. Maybe she could figure it out herself.

Hermione shook her head as the word hair came
into her mind. She had thought it would have been a human hair
he had found, but she had gotten a glimpse of it before it was
tucked away. It was the same chocolaty brown as this monkey's.
Could this be the connection?

Sherlock turned, purely annoyed. "Well, now
that both the monkey and the most likely criminal have vanished
into thin air, why don't we get your fingerprints?" he asked the
girl, Padme, trying to keep the bitter disgust and
disappointment out of his voice at the fact the culprit had
escaped.

John saw Padme was uncomfortable as Sherlock
whisked away, expecting them to follow. "Sorry," he shrugged,
"He's just... upset." he said. And understandably, John thought.
For once. He wasn't upset because they ran out of milk to grow
his bacteria. John was rather upset himself.

Sherlock whisked out a piece of paper, and
grabbed some ink from Padme's little cottage, moving as though
it was his own, seeming to know where things were even though
he'd only been in there once before.
He sat down at Padme's table with the paper and
ink. "If you please," he said, gesturing at the paper. "Try to
make sure you don't get so much ink it just smudges everywhere."

Padme nodded silently again, then almost perfectly dipped each
finger lightly in ink and rolled them across the paper.
