John walked slowly forward. Smiling as
naturally as he could, he asked. "Ma'm, do you think you could
accompany me into the castle?" he glanced at Sherlock.
Sherlock's lips barely moved, and John could barely make out
what he was mouthing. He looked away, and re-imagined the almost
non-existent lip-sink. The word "food," floated to his mind, and
he understood what Sherlock had been trying to say. "If your
monkey has been missing for long, I'm sure he wouldn't mind some
food. I wouldn't mind getting you a meal myself," he winked at
her, hoping it was convincing. He heard Sherlock give a snort.
Trying not to roll his eyes at his companion, he smiled at the
woman. He was quite glad his hand was steady under stress.

Tink gave a forced smile. "Actually, he has a strict diet. He is
a trained circus monkey, and needs specific kinds of foods and
vitamins. I'll just take him back home for dinner." She turned
her face to Abu. "You've just been getting into trouble all day,
haven't you? Let's get you home and to bed!"
Padme smiled and waved goodbye, then turned back to John. "I
know I could use some food as well. Perhaps I'll accompany you
to the castle?"
In the corner of her eye, she saw Sherlock hit his face with his
palm. She looked around, but found no mosquitos in sight, and
was puzzled at his movement.

John turned as the woman began to walk
away and only vaguely heard Padme say something. He saw two
guards out of the corner of his eye. He gestured at them, but
only the woman guard seemed to be able to understand what he was
trying to convey. He called after the woman, "No, really! Wait!"
she turned, looking annoyed and puzzled. He looked back, locking
eyes with the brown eyes of the female guard. She nodded, and he
nodded back. They both ran and tackled the woman at the same
time, the monkey squawking about their heads.

Hermione watched as the detective's colleague
gave her discreet signals. She nodded, and when he nodded back,
they both charged. She didn't know why they were tackling this
woman, but she knew it had to do with the murder attempt, and
she couldn't let a suspect escape.

Tink fell with a scream, and in the blink of an eye she and Abu
dissappeared with a flash.
Padme screamed, and Link came running.
"What's going on?" the blonde boy asked.
WE WERE SO CLOSE!! the little fairy stomped her foot. Abu gave a
shrug, and went to help Aladdin with digging.
"Calm down, Tink," Aladdin replied, "Besides, M will be the one
you have to explain all of this to."
There will be nothing to explain if you hurry up and get the job
done!
"Well, then you'll be glad to know that I've finished digging."
He winked at Tinkerbell, who gave him an evil grin.
Do you have the poison? she asked deviously.
Aladdin only smiled in return.

John and Hermione were suddenly tackling thin
air and both fell hard. Getting back up, each with a few bruises
John said angrily, "What the hell happened!?" Sherlock strode
over, his eyes narrowed in fury. "Magic," he hissed. "Now we
don't even have the monkey." Sherlock raged. How was he supposed
to conduct a case if people could simply get away with magic!?

Hermione was furious! The woman had aparated
(don't ask me how 2 spell that) and she hadn't even managed to
catch on! Maybe if she was left alone, she could find the traces
of magic with her wand and follow them. But she couldn't do it
while the others were watching.

Aang leaped off Appa's back. "Thanks, boy," he
whispered. "Stay here and be quiet," he said, and Appa gave the
quietest of moans to show he understood. Aang leaned close to
the earth, and closed his eyes, feeling through the earth. He
wasn't as good as Toph, but he might be able to pick up
something.

Link scoffed. "Magic? Really? I thought you were a detective,
not a spellcaster."
Padme rolled her eyes and shook her head. Link could be so brute
sometimes. She turned and looked at Sherlock, afraid of how he
would react.
Aladdin climbed out of the hole in the ground, only to be
apprehended by the same guy who had gotten him before. "MMMPH!"
he managed, as he was bound and gagged once again. This time,
however, he had a feeling Tink wouldn't be rescuing him.
Abu ran when he saw his friend get caught. He ran wildly through
the forest until he bumped into a female guard with brown hair,
hiding some sort of glowing object under her cloak and turning
away from a group of people around. "Cha-boo?" he inquired.
Tinkerbell winked into existence in the chamber of her master.
All is going according to plan, sir. (that is, if Al could get
out of there by himself without trouble,) she thought to
herself.

Sherlock's grey eyes pierced into Link's blue
ones. "I was skeptical too. Magic seemed to break the basic laws
of physics and energy. However, after enough experience, I came
to accept what I once thought as impossible, as simply
improbable. After more research, I found magic actually didn't
break these laws. In fact, they must use them for magic to work
at all. Magic is quite an interesting phenomenon. I doubt my
research will ever satisfactorily be complete in this field," he
said, with some contempt for the blond. John shook his head at
Sherlock's superior tone. He'd taken the exact same attitude
toward magic just a few years ago.

Link glared at the detective, still somewhat unconvinced. Of
course, it was most likely because of the superiority complex
this guy seemed to have. He finally shrugged his shoulders.
"Whatever you say."

Hermione had her wand concealed. "Got it!"
She murmured, almost inaudibly. She could feel the location. Now
just to get far enough away so as to apparate....
"What did you say?" John asked.
Hermione started. "Nothing," she muttered to it.
Then she erected her posture, trying to act official, "Now, I
must see to my duties." Well, that was true enough. The man
shrugged. She walked a little ways away, and then felt the
suffocating blackness of apparition envelope her.

Aang captured the man. He would not get away
this time, and Aang would make sure of that. He decided it was
best not to say anything this time, as he directed the man out
of the cavern.
Aang saw Appa, and gestured him to be silent.
Appa's look told Aang what he need to know. Trying to gently
drag the man onto Appa's back, so as to do as little harm as
possible, he lifted Appa's reins silently, and they sailed into
the sky.
