(I forget...where are the other characters at this point?)
Aladdin snuck his way back to the castle-with the guards having
"found" the culprit, he was safe to go back. After all, they
wouldn't be looking for a theif tonight. He looked up to the sky
and gave thanks for the large cloud that seemed to be following
him all the way to the castle, hiding him from the moonlight.

("What do your bison eyes see, Appa?" ;)
I couldn't resist, but it shouldn't be part of the story.)
Appa made a soft moan, and starting slowly
descending. Aang smiled. Appa had found their thief. He'd follow
him in, and then hopefully he'd be able to find his staff while
he was at it. He hated not having his glider. "Appa," he
whispered. "Go land and sleep for a while in the forest. I have
my whistle if I need help," Appa groaned in response. Aang
leaped off Appa's back, plummeting to the ground. Bend the air
just in time to catch his fall, he hit the ground lightly, in
the shadows of the garden, and stealthily followed the
black-haired thief. But then the alarms sounded, and Aang knew
they had discovered his abscence. It had only managed to stay
secret for a few hours, before the guards had probably tried to
bring him food. The thief couldn't get caught either, because he
needed him to find out who he was working for. Sighing, Aang
dashed forward, completely silent, and grabbed the back of the
man's shirt, he leaped into the air, far higher than any normal
person could have. The man started to shout, "Don't make a
sound," he breathed in his ear, "Unless you want us to both be
caught." For the moment, that was the only man's choice, and
soon Aang had him right where he wanted him, and he perched atop
one of the tower roofs, facing the man, who stared back.

Aladdin squirmed. He HATED being one-upped, especially by some
kid. He crossed his arms and scowled, waiting.
Meanwhile, Abu looked around, startled. Where had Aladdin gone?
There was a sudden gush of wind, and he was left completely
alone. The little brown monkey re-traced his steps back into the
garden, where a strange figure leered in the darkness. Abu
walked slowly over, and soon found that what he thought was a
leering figure was actually a woman, hunched over on a bench.
She seemed to be going through the basket she had in her hands.
Padme pulled the cloak more tightly around her and counted the
flowers she had collected. After much consideration, she
realized she needed more lillies, and started moving back to the
pond. Suddenly, a crackling noise made her turn around. "Who's
there?"
Only the soft chirping of a monkey replied. Looking down, she
saw the little guy approaching her. "Well hello there!"
"Eh eh ah?" came the reply.
"Here, have this. You must be hungry. What are you doing out so
late?" She handed him a piece of bread with cheese from the
basket, and he took it gladly.
Little did Padme know that she was being watched by two pairs of
scrutinizing eyes...

Aang thought for a second, keeping a close watch
on the criminal. He didn't look like he could do much at the
moment, but he decided that he could be just as resourceful as
Aang was. "I think," he said after a minute, "That the best
descision right now is to take you back to the White Lotus. Iro
might know what to do with you," and, with that, he blew his
bison whistle. Appa showed up quietly. Aang grabbed the man's
shirt again, and leaped onto his back. "Appa," he said, "Start
taking him back to the White Lotus. I'll catch up with you, but
I have to get my staff," he said. He almost left as Appa moaned.
"Oh, and try to stay hidden," he finished speaking to Appa, and
then, grabbing part of a piece of strap on each side of Appa's
saddle, he wrestled the man down, the air helping him. He tied
his hands behind his back. "You won't fall off," he said to the
man, making sure the strap was secure.
He then ripped a piece of fabric from his
sleeve and tied it around his eyes, making sure he wouldn't be
able to see where he was going.
He then hopped off Appa. "Yip, yip, boy."
Aang told him as he stood on the roof of the tower, and Appa
soared away, with only a small, sad moan. "Don't worry," he
called quietly after the bison moving away, "I'll be right
behind you,"

Aladdin struggled as he was bound, fighting to get free. After
only moments, he heard a twinkling bell.
"Tink?!?"
Yes, moron?
"Get me out of here!!"
The tiny fairy rolled her eyes and sprinkled him with dust,
instantly transporting him and herself to his own "home" in a
tunnel system underneath the ground. There she sat on the table
and propped her hands up under her chin.
So, how did it go?
"Shut up."
A chiming sound indicated that she was laughing.
How is it you ALWAYS manage to get into trouble?
"The same way you never do," he replied, the last part with
sarcasm.
Tink just rolled her eyes again and found the wooden board where
she kept count. Let's see, it seems like....well look at that!
You owe me dinner this week.
Aladdin groaned.

Aang snuck skillfully through the castle, which
was on lockdown. The guards were all so busy trying to find the
new breech in security, they weren't paying attention to his
staff, which he found in a side room. Grabbing it, he quickly
and quietly took off through a window, out, into the night air,
without being detected. Or at least he thought without being
detected. (someone else can fill in who saw him)
He glided through the air, and soon spotted
Appa, who was flying slightly off route to the White Lotus
encampment. He flew down to find the straps empty and the
prisoner gone. Aang landed on Appa's back. "What happened!?" he
demanded, worried. He knew it couldn't have been the bison's
fault, but he needed to know how he'd gotten away. He surly
wouldn't have commited suicide... and even if he had, how had he
gotten out of the straps? Appa simply groaned in stressed
response, and shook his head. Aang knew immeadiately what Appa
meant. He had been doing his best to follow the criminal. If
someone had rescued him by air, they must have been able to fly
faster than Appa.
"They can't be far, boy," Aang whispered, "I was
only gone a few minutes," he finished, "Yip yip!" grabbing the
bison's reins, Appa moaned in response, and they took off more
quickly in the direction Appa had indicated.

Tinkerbell suddenly froze, her wings twitching. Seems like
someone is trying to follow us...lucky for you and I our
location is underground.
The dark-haired boy sighed. "Well, we'd better get back to work.
How is your new 'plan' going?"
Oh, it's....going. I still need you to dig a bit deeper, and
more towards the right.
Aladdin groaned. "Are you SURE this is going to work?"
Positive, the little fairy responded. Now if you'll excuse me, I
have some poison to pick up. With a mischevious grin, she winked
out of existence, leaving Aladdin alone with more work to do.
"Alright Abu, lets get star-" he looked around. "Abu? Abu? Where
are you?"
Padme turned to see two men approach her. As they got closer,
she recognized them as the rude detective and his assistant.
"...aha! A monkey- just like that one!" she heard Sherlock say.
John looked on incredulously at Padme holding the little brown
monkey.
"What's going on?" she inquired.

Sherlock turned, satisfied as they saw the
monkey. "I identified the hair, the poison and the antidote. The
poison comes from the Agra-ban Viper, which means that we are
looking for, most probably, a middle-eastern man, especially
considering he has a monkey as his assistant. The antidote also
comes from plants in the same area as the viper, as well as some
of the viper's venom, as is always needed in an antidote. The
hair, as I know you heard, comes from a monkey. And a monkey
such as this one. It is highly improbable that it would have
been a different monkey doing the handy work, seeing as he is at
the palace, so very far from his natural habitat. As I said
before, I'm sure he has a master. Now all we have to do, is find
the master. And I'm sure these," Sherlock held up a sheet with
inky finger imprints, "Will help us identify the culprit. Don't
forget I need a sample from you, so as to prove your innocence."
Sherlock finished, a very satisfied expression on his face.
---------------------------------------------------------
Appa suddenly stopped, hovering in mid-air. He
groaned. Aang leaned forward. "What is it boy? Did they descend
here?" he asked quietly. Appa groaned, and began circling lower,
descending toward the spot Appa seemed to think he had seen the
thief descend, with whatever airborn help he must have had.

With a shimmery haze, Tinkerbell began to change. Slowly she
became the size of a normal human. Then her skin darkened to a
chocolatey brown and her hair became jet-black, running long
down her back. (think of Jasmine) The clothes of an Arab
shimmered into existence on her body, and she stretched, feeling
a bit drained from the use of her magic. She smiled as she
caught a glimpse of herself in the pond, then practiced her new
voice.
"Abu? Abu, where are you?"
The little monkey squirmed in Padme's arms and jumped out,
running toward the voice.
As Tink made her way into the garden, she saw the gardener and
the two detectives. "Abu!" she shouted as he jumped into her
arms. "There you are! I've been looking all over for you! Where
have you been?"

Sherlock narrowed his eyes at the woman. As
he gazed at her speculating, he saw the smallest traces of magic
dust on her arms and in her hair. He raised his head a little,
his mouth quirking just slightly. A disguise. "John," Sherlock
barely whispered, who gave him the smallest of sideways glances.
They understood each other perfectly.
