Wild Roses Chapter 5: Investigation

Last Post: Jack awoke from his frosty prison. The ice cracked
around him, allowing for his escape.
"He must want me," the frosty creature mumbled into the
darkness. The only time he was let out of his icy sarcophagus
was when he had a mission to do. He glided down the dark
passage until he reached the very dimly light chamber.
"Yes, my lord?"

Belle smiled. "I'm going to see if I can find the princess.
She'll want to know you're well. Is there someone I can find for
you? Or something I could get?"

(Aang's not actually a thief... it just LOOKS that
way right now)
Aang narrowed his eyes at the back of the
black-haired person frozen in place, and was returned with the
stare of a monkey. "Show yourself," Aang commanded, gripping
tightly to his staff, and wielding it as though it was a sword.

Hermione traipsed to the throne room, where she
found the King and Queen sitting, talking to their advisors,
with plenty of papers, guards and questions about the
investigation. She bowed. "Your Majesties," she stated, trying
not to drawl or sigh in an annoyed fashion.

Queen Cecelia turned, resting her hand on her husband's shoulder
to let him know shed take care of things. "What is it?" she
addressed Hermione.

"The Prince and Princess sent me to check up on the
King and Queen, their Majesties, to make sure everything was
alright, and ask why they are not overseeing the
investigations," Hermione said formally, trying not to roll her
eyes at the formalities.

Hermione froze, all formal pretenses dropping with
shock. "Invasion!?" she exclaimed, "How come I, and definitely
the Prince and Princess, heard about this!?" Hermione tried to
keep from shouting. She could help! Little did they know she had
magic. With a pang she thought of Ron. He'll be fine she thought
It's just a muggle invasion... unless...

"Ah. No thank you." Duck said. "What about Miss Edel?" she
wondered mentally. "No I best not disturb her. Of course I have
no idea what to do now!" Then she turned to Merida, "I don't
really have anywhere to go. Unemployment really stinks."

no conceiveable leader. The closest thing we've been able to
spot is a ragged teenager. So tell me about this investigation.

Hermione nodded. "Yes, a um... I think he
refered to himself as a Consulting Detective? Was called by
Mycroft Holmes, and the guard Lestrade to help with the
investigation into the poisoned roses on the night of the Ball.
He is quickly getting to the bottom of this, though he has
mentioned some strange things like a Lab and something about
finger prints. However, he seems more than able to complete the
task of solving this mystery, all overseen by the Prince and
Princess" Hermione finished, filling in the King and Queen, but
quite worried about this invasion. She felt it was a little more
than what it appeared...
